My dearest Lily,
With moving becoming more and more of a reality, I worry if this is the right move for our family.
I worry if this is the right move for you!
I feel such pain in my heart and such guilt when I think about taking you away from your friends and everything you know.
I’m aware that you are just 14 months old and you will adjust to just about any situation but, I just can’t help but to worry.
When I was little, I was moved around a lot and I hated it.
Constantly having to make new friends, getting to know new places, having to constantly adapt…
I hated it!
I hope that Raleigh will be the right place for us.
I hope you will be as happy there as you are here if not more.
I hope we get a house where you can grow into and have the same friends for a long time.
Roots are important.
I feel like I never had them.
Maybe that’s why it’s so important for me to give them to you.
Just know that pai and I always have the best intentions and your best interest in mind.
Love you,
your mama.
here you are with Dylan and Sofia (your best friends) at the neighborhood park

@Lisa,
yes, we are moving to Raleigh and yes, I read dear baby. I have been back and forth with Melissa a few times mostly about questions on Raleigh. She has been super helpful. and who knows, maybe Lily and Everly will one day meet! 🙂

Moving is hard, I went back and forth from the west coast to the east coast. I think West Virginia was the longest I have ever settled anywhere. Luckily, I was able to meet some wonderful people along the way. I was talking with Sarah the other day and she mentioned that you all were moving to Raleigh. If you need anything let me know. I hope Amelia and Lily will meet soon. Have a wonderful day!!

@Meghan,
Thanks Meghan. Where in Raleigh do you live? Do you like it? Are there plenty of things to do with little ones?
We are coming in March to look at some places we have our eyes on and some others that i’m sure will be new to the market. We are looking at Mordecai, Oakwood and 5 Points.
We will have to have a play date so Amelia and Lily can meet. 🙂

Well I live in Cary, which is on the other side Raleigh and the locations you are interested in. There are plenty of things for little children to do. parks full of kids, story time at the cameron village library. Raleigh and Cary with the surrounding areas is known for the family fun atmosphere and I believe that Lily and you will adjust quick. email me when you guys come down and if you want a guide for the day then I will happily guide.
