outgrowing spaces
we outgrew this place ages ago
but, due to high rents around here and financially not being able to buy our own home, here we are
and it looks like we will be here a while longer
this place has changed many times in order to fit our growing needs
Lily’s bedroom was once my bedroom. which then was mine and Will’s bedroom. and then mine, Will’s and Lily’s bedroom
the living room was once a living room (what a concept!) and is now our bedroom (i hate it) and a living room
for the past 3 days i have been going crazy in my own head trying to figure out how to redo this place once again in order to fit our ever growing needs
between apartment therapy and pinterest, i have a few ideas but am still having a hard time
it’s weird how i can go into someone elses’s space and redo it but am struggling like crazy with my own
do any of you have this problem with the spaces you are in or are you all lucky and live in big spaces?

i might be able to help when i get there. It’s hard sometimes to reevaluate your space when your living in it day in day out. You need some fresh eyes 8)

i’m so sorry, mama!! we live in the ‘hood. the total hood. that’s how we can afford space. it’s a trade-off. but i hope that you guys can figure out something that makes you happier soon. it would probably drive me crazy, too. i love having my space to get away from people, even the people i love the most. your space, however, looks really cool, and i think you’ve done so much with what you have. i would totally come drink wine with you there. 🙂 sending you online hugs!!

@Ellen,
thanks mama. it’s challenging to say the least. i’m the kind of person who needs some space. and there is none. we can also only afford the ghetto but, the miami ghetto is not an option. hopefully it will all work out one day. and you are welcome for a glass of wine any time. 🙂

Your place looks really great!
We too have a very small space in LA ( and New Orleans!) and are constantly rearranging and adjusting to fit the growing needs and changes of the kids.
Sometimes I find it frustrating and other times I am grateful for the size which is easy to clean and I always know where the kids are! Always close!
I feel you, I really do. Small spaces force us to be creative, which is good.
I like the reading nook!!

You did a great job with your space!!! It will come mama, you just have to be patient 🙂 You know we’re pretty much is the same situation, but I know my pot of gold is at the end of the rainbow, I just have to be patient. Hugs
