new beginnings

the house got a good smudging yesterday

i smudge often actually but i felt it necessary yesterday given that it was the first day of the new year

hung up the new calendar and took away the old

Lily and Foxy’s first picture of twenty thirteen and the first lunch of the new year

we had a relaxing day yesterday

i napped. i actually napped! you know i’m dead tired when that happens

and now that the holidays are over and it’s a new year, it’s time to start painting

i must paint

but first i think i need to take down this tree

i don’t know if i can wait until the sixth….
