thoughts on having a yard

one of the reasons we wanted a house is so we could have a yard

i knew that once Lily got bigger, she would outgrow the old balcony on the forth floor and unless i would be taking her to the park all the time, entertaining her outside would become more challenging

the yard here at the yellow house is not my dream yard by any means

there is no grass due to the lack of sun it gets because of the shade the large maple and avocado tree give

it’s mostly a black sand yard really

but, it’s a yard

it’s a place where Lily spends time collecting rocks, leaves and sticks and let’s her imagination go far into fairy places i can’t even imagine

it’s also a place where she can freely hang in her underwear

can’t beat that now, can you?
