a garden update
it’s been quite the rainy week around here
enough to keep us out of the yard
i did manage to step out there one morning to snap a few pictures and see what was happening
still no roses. still no hibiscus
if it does not rain this weekend, we have a bit of yard work to do. mostly just cleaning up of sticks and leaves
joining Annie for how does your garden grow?
these things keep falling (carambola)
but so do these (florida avocado)
and same with these (palm leaves)
lots of rain means fun guys
the cucumbers keep growing
and so do the ginger flowers
strawberries, hibiscus and dessert rose
i have no idea what they are
i fight these vines constantly. because they will take over
there are a few flowers
mmmmmmm some little critter likes our cocktail tree
the airplant is surviving

Oh the little gnome is adorable! Wow the palm leaves look like enormous feathers from some exotic animal and the plant that you don’t know what it is is positively prehistoric looking. Amazing to see such different things. Hope the rain passes soon x

@Heather,
the palm leaves are gigantic and i always hope that i will not get hit over the head with one as it falls down. xx

Ah poor gnome! And cool dino at the end!
Talking of cool, loving your shoes, tres chic, perfect for drop kicking carambola over the street. I love your garden post-rain, it looks even more lush than usual.
Thanks for sharing your lovely photos, I always get such garden inspiration on your blog x

@Annie,
the gnome is drowning. i have had to constantly empty out so many pots because they cannot drain fast enough. xo

Oh, avocado in your garden, if I wasn’t jealous of your garden already, I am now 🙂 Gorgeous photos, and love the little splash of pink towards the end 🙂

Love your photos, as always. I especially like that ‘I’ve no idea what it is’ plant – very nice looking! Hope it stays dry long enough for you to get out there again x
