a garden update

February 23 2014 029

as big and green as our yard is, it sure has had its big bursts of color lately

the hibiscus tree has bloomed as many as eight red hibiscus in one sitting

the coral hibiscus bush is also constantly blooming

and Will purchased a bunch of flowers for the wheel barrel and the gnome is now as happy as could be (there is usually a lizard sitting on his hat)

that wheel barel had nothing but dirt in it

flowers make such a difference

they make everything happier

and we had hung these in the front porch but they were not looking so good there. so i tied them onto the trees next to the others

    1. @Rosie,

thank you Rosie. you might be right about the fuschia and red flowers although i think i remember some other crazy name on the tag which got thrown away.

  1. BAM! COLOUR! Love these photos so much Claudia – such vibrancy – and that Gnome is soooooo cute, liking his little friend too – I didn’t spot it at first! Flower really do make a difference don’t they? I haven’t had any indoors this past week whilst I’ve been painting walls but I really miss them..
Stunning shots as ever – loving that butterfly.

Thanks so much for joining in again and bringing the colour x

  2. Too many beautiful flowers to tell you which one is even my favourite! That hibiscus looks like it is really thriving, you must have put it in the perfect spot.

  3. What a burst of colour! Will picked some good flowers for your garden and they look beautiful all planted together in the wheel barrel. It’s a shame the hibiscus only flower for one day they are really pretty.

    1. @76sunflowers,

yes, find that gnome. or get another one? the bedroom terrace is great but it is always way too hot there. which has worked beautifully for the growing of veggies and herbs :)
