a garden update
everything has slowly been blooming like it normally does
and it is wonderful however, the one thing that has made me the most excited in the green department this week is our terrace garden
remember we put all the seedlings that didn’t get enough sun in the garden into bins and onto our bedroom terrace?
well…. we have cucumbers, tomatoes and squash!
joining Annie with how does your garden grow?
a beautiful red passion flower gifted by our dear DD
the hibiscus have been taking turns as they do
a new hibiscus also gifted by DD
the orchids
this one is next
a water hyacinth
all those yellow blooms on the mango tree are slowly turning into mangoes. can you believe those are all tiny mangoes? not all of them will make it but a lot will. oh boy…
there have been a lot more birds. a dove
a cardinal
a lot of dragonflies too
the succulents on the front porch seem to be quite happy and i am just happy i have not killed them
on Lily’s terrace. a desert rose, strawberries and some succulents
on our terrace. peppers and tomatoes
squash
purple tomatoes. not yet though
cherry tomatoes
and cucumbers!
oh…. is that a cucumber in your hand or are you just happy to see me? sorry, cucumber joke. but had to do it. our first cucumber. hooray!

We get Gumamela (hibiscus) from neighbor’s garden and then we grind them with stones. put soap in them to use them as liquid to blow bubble. Hibiscus makes the soap thick and the bubbles stay for longer. That’s the childhood memory that these flowers reminded me. Your pictures made me remember them =)
