a walk to the meadow. west virginia. part two
saturday morning we went to Lily’s new school to meet her new teacher and check out her new classroom and class mates
none of us really knew what to expect
i know it may sound crazy but, Will and i signed Lily up based on great ratings we read and through our friends who have children there but we had never been inside the school
we had heard that there were no windows, that the playground was small, that the school is all for technology and super high tech…
well, i am happy to say that we all left feeling really good about not only the school and the classroom but also Lily’s teacher
the room is big and bright (despite having no windows), there are so many wonderful stations/toys…
Lily’s new teacher practices a lot of the same ways as Lily’s old teacher
i have no doubt Lily will be really happy there and do really well
i think it is going to be a wonderful extension of Lily’s old school, skipping stones
last night she wrote her name on her new backpack and her new school folders and i sewed her name on her quiet time blanket (something new)
her uniform is hanging on her door waiting for her to put it on
she starts pre-school today
new beginnings
i think they will be good ones
happy monday friends
hope you had a great weekend and if you have little ones starting school today, good luck!
*there are a lot of pictures in this post. but, west virginia, green everything and hello… cowgirl boots
i love seeing these two together
i don’t know why we all look so grumpy. we love each other and we were having fun. i swear
she found a salamander. she loves them so much
