one of the things i really wanted us to give Lily for her fifth birthday (and hopefully every birthday) was a super experience
something she really would learn from and hopefully remember forever
taking her to the clearwater marine aquarium was wonderful because yes, she got to see dolphins but what was even better was the fact that she got to really see and learn about the mission behind such a place
she got to learn about animal rescue, rehabilitation, preservation of marine life, and all the work and care that goes behind it
and dolphins… you know, you hear so much about dolphins being incredibly smart and magical creatures but it is not until you are with them in person that you really get that
i mean, they really truly are!
it was not only a memorable experience for Lily but also for us who tagged along with her
if any of you ever get the chance, or the itching to go, go!!
ps- there are a lot of pictures in this post and i will not apologize for it
Lily meets Hope (who is only four years old)
i mean, how could i not have taken all the pictures i did? or post them?
some turtle love as well
and some sea otter love too
but mostly Winter and Hope love
omg! Hope and Winter… together!
Winter (who is nine) was not wearing her prosthetic tail
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! and then Lily’s big birthday surprise happened. she got to touch and have her picture taken with Hope
and let’s not forget Nicholas. because even though he is the oldest (twelve) and in a separate pool from the girls, he was the biggest charmer!
