oh st. augustine, you are so pretty

and charming

and pretty…

i first visited st. augustine in the late nineties

i fell in love with it in an instant and have been longing to return for a long time

it worked out just that way on my birthday after we left jacksonville

we stayed at the beautiful and historic casa monica for two nights and really, i could have stayed all week

heck, i could have stayed forever….

we checked in, dropped off our bags at the room, soaked in the views, went to eat, walked around, got ice cream, soaked up the night and got a good night sleep

it was a great forty second birthday

happy monday friends

hope you all had a wonderful weekend

to be continued…

ps- st. augustine is the nation’s oldest city. if you ever get a chance to visit, don’t pass it up
