a garden update. disney
the three of us recently went to disney world for the first time (disney. magic kingdom)
when you think of disney, you think m-i-c-k-e-y-m-o-u-s-e
right?
well, amongst all the fun and madness that is disney, there are actually beautiful flowers and beautiful manicured lawns as well
especially in animal kingdom’s africa and asia
i could have just set up camp there and never left
so while all the other disney freaks were taking pictures of the normal disney things like mickey, goofy and so on, i was trying to stay true to the flowerazzi and naturazzi that i am
joining Annie with how does your garden grow?
ps- thank you for all your kind words on last week’s post. our landlords have actually decided to take our rental off the market so we have more time here even though we are looking for our own home to buy and to own (way to play with someone’s emotions, right?)
oh goodness….. this golden weaver was doing just what his name says. weaving his nest. loved him (and i kind of want birds now?)
this komodo dragon looked hungry. and kind of scary
i was really inspired by these trees. definitely decorating some of our trees in our future garden. love this so much!
and tibetan flags…. have been wanting some for a while now. their colors against the blue sky made me so happy. for sure getting some. now
yes
and yes. right!?
how about this guy trying to hide in the bananas? ha!
pink overload?
oh…. camellias. i first fell in love with them when we went to savannah (here), we got to see them when we were in jacksonville (here) and i just really love them and think i must have them in our future garden
and with age i have really grown to love roses…

These are the best shots of Disney I’ve ever seen. Wow I’m even tempted to make a visit there next time we visit my Bro in Florida. Look at that golden weaver too. (Okay I’m sort of breathless now!)

Wow that golden weaver in his nest! I never in a million years would have thought that this was as Disneyland. It looks so peaceful and not at all what I associate with there (which is lots of children running about going bananas and noise!)
I really do wish I was there *sigh* and I have been craving blossom and you give me some – you are the best!
Thanks for joining in again 🙂

Good to hear your rental is off the market!! 🙂 Decorating the trees is a really nice idea – I have loads of fabric straps in my sewing draw but a distinct lack of trees so I guess that idea will have to wait. I never knew Disney world had nice garden areas.

Now this makes me want to go to Disney! Not the commercial side, but this is lovely. This seems so calm and serene

It feels nice that I am not alone. When I go to places too I am not keen on the major attraction but I am always in the look out for plants and blooms! This series is just the prettiest side of Disney! #hdygg

Wow – love that shot of the weaver building the nest. And yes my first thoughts were MM and to the tune as you spelled it out, but this is a very different side of Disney. Fab. Great news about the house too x#hdygg

I always thought DisneyLand was not for me. Well I could quite happily never set eye on Mickey et al but the gardens look stunning. Those I would like to see.
