a garden update
a walk in our neighborhood
in mid march
and even though it was two months ago (what!?) most of the flowers in this post are still blooming
along with some others i will feature in the near future
joining Annie with how does your garden grow?
i want our neighbor’s teepee. but every time i go near the gate to hopefully knock on the door to ask details about it, their big mean dog tries to eat me
this other neighbor obviously wants to have an orchid off
and the local seamstress also has some amazing orchids
this neighborhood is going through a lot of changes. i really hope that all of its charm will not get wiped out and replaced by ugly condo buildings and store fronts

Another post with amazing images – I wish I could grow orchids now! Mine don’t do terribly well indoors here… #hdygg

@Stephanie,
as long as your orchids are somewhere somewhat warm and where they get natural light, they should do just fine.

That teepee looks lovely (and is doing well to withstand the joys of living with a big dog!). Such lovely colours in your neighbourhood Claudia. Are you house hunting in that same area?
Your neighbour could never defeat you in an orchid off – though they are jolly pretty.
That painted wall is fab, there’s no shortage of inspiration by you is there? I do hope that too many changes aren’t made, hopefully exisiting residents can pull together to keep it as it is x
Thanks for joining in again lovely, next week it’s hosted at Gemma Garners blog as I’m away (expect plenty of holiday spam on instagram)

@Annie,
there are so many changes going on in this neighborhood and unfortunately, as far as i’m concerned they are not good changes. high end stores, hotels, garages, all big money buying old homes, tearing them down and rebuilding. it is all so scary and sad to me. thank you for linking me early this morning Annie.you are so sweet. xx

Maybe you should go round with a steak to distract the dog! 🙂 Beautiful combination of colours in those pink and yellow flowers. I need to make a trip to Miami one day to see all these plants!
