a garden update. the getty museum. #californiadreaming
i know i’ve said it on here before but, i think the getty museum in los angeles is not only the most beautiful museum i have been to but also one of the most beautiful places i have been to
i love everything about it
the architecture, the open space, the bougainvillea umbrellas, the cactus garden, the amazing views….
it literally makes you feel like you are somewhere magical
and on top of the world!
joining Annie with how does your garden grow?
ps- you can see more of our visit to the getty here and here
this might get a bit much right now but really, i couldn’t help myself. truly

Those steel frames umbrellas are just amazing! Steel is so cold but when the bougainvillea hugged it, the steel looks so organic. I really wanted to see this museum since I am in college. Never thought that the area around it is this beautiful! #hdygg

I love the Getty Center! My brother lived in Malibu before he moved to Miami. When I first stayed with him I used to go to the Getty Villa – then it closed for renovation but I was thrilled because the Getty Center opened. After that, every time I went to LA to see him and his family I just had to also visit the modern Getty museum. Sorry but your gorgeous photos have brought back some wonderful memories of my visits there.

The top photograph with the pink against the blue sky looks like it should be a Japanese inspired print fabric! What an absolutely stunning place all round.

Those umbrella structures with the pink flowers growing up them are stunning – adore the colours in those photos! I’ve never visited the Getty Museum but now I’ve spotted a couple of Alexander Calder sculptures I’m going to have to add it to my list of places to visit. I can see why you like it there.

If only all museums looked this wonderful the world would be brimming with historians! I’m with Ness, those pink flowers look like they belong on a Japanese print, just lovely. I can see why you love it there, what an inspirational space!
