a sunday
i must be honest and say that on this particular sunday, both Will and i woke up a bit cranky about miami and what it had to offer for the day other than beach
Will wanted mountains to climb, i wanted a secret garden with beautiful flowers to explore and Lily…. well, she was easy
she actually just wanted to swim in the pool
not to sound ungrateful for the beautiful beaches and water we have around us but sometimes it seems like that is all there is
and i guess just like everything, when it’s all you have, it can become boring
as beautiful as miami is, after living here for almost fifteen years, sometimes i feel like there is so much i crave that it cannot provide
 to the beach we went
again
one we hadn’t been to before and we probably won’t go to again
even though we made the most of it
so yeah, miami, we’re back after a wonderful week in west virginia and twenty four adventurous hours in washington dc
many future posts to come
happy monday friends
hope you all had a great weekend
 to be continued…

Ah, but Lily can swim. My boys still can’t because the water is just so cold in WV most of the time. Summer doesn’t seem to be long enough for them to get comfortable with it.

it happens that we miss what we don’t have (i dream about having a beach closer, maybe with this climate changing 🙂 ). but if it’s possible for will’s work, you could look elsewhere. or accept miami as a reality.
so you’ve been in washington too, what a great summer!

@Mirari,
we have tried to accept miami as our reality. and then we went to california and came back realizing that miami lacks so much of what we crave…. it has been a great summer, yes!
