a garden update. asheville
this is somewhat of a sorry ass excuse of a garden update post
because you’re basically only getting two different pictures with different angles
i haven’t been doing a whole lot of flower/garden visits
i have however been doing a whole lot of christmas shopping and gift wrapping
even though i am feeling quite grinchy about christmas this year
anyway, i took the four legger for a walk (yes, there was dog shit in a bag involved) and after doing so, i grabbed my camera and went back out because the sun was just starting to go down and the light was golden
so, today i would like to offer you some golden light
joining Annie with how does your garden grow?
ps- i apologize for the blog acting like a jerk last week and not let your comments come through. all is fine in the blog world again now

There was a winter flowering jasmine at our first house and it was a joy to see in the winter when nothing else was out. I’ve noticed my parents-in-law have one by their door now (I don’t know where it has appeared from!) so I may have to take some cuttings!

Could you tie a bag round the dogs rear? Then you won’t have to carry the poo anymore because the dog will do it for you! I could do with a dose of this golden light in my garden today 🙂

No Christmas trees here either mainly because we still haven’t put up our tree (plenty of grinchiness here too but I’ll do my best to get things sorted this weekend when the boys will have started their holidays). I did post hydrangeas though (minus the sun) and I love your winter flowering jasmine. I think I need to find somewhere to plant one here.

@Rosie,
is that what that yellow flower is? winter flowering jasmine? it just grows wild in our neighborhood. had no idea. we have had our tree up for two weeks. because with a six year old who basically IS christmas, there was no getting around it. happy holidays!!
