Porto. day three. Foz do Porto. a sunset

June 24 2016. 001 (188)

is there a better way to end a day than to watch the sun set on the ocean?

no, i don’t think so

not for me anyway

when i lived in la jolla, san diego i made it a point to go and sit on the cliffs to watch the sun set on the water just about every afternoon

i loved hearing the sound of the waves tossing the ocean rocks around as they came and went while the sun slowly disappeared into the horizon

it was always a peaceful moment no matter how crazy of a day i had

the ocean and the setting sun always made everything go away and left me at ease and ready for another day

today is officially our last day of summer break

Lily will start first grade on monday and to tell you the truth, i’m not ready to start waking up before six in the morning or ready to give up our slow moving mornings but, here’s to another great scholastic year!

happy friday and happy weekend friends
