a garden update. asheville
even though it’s been a while since i have been on a nature walk or taken any pictures of flowers, as i drive around, i can see all the flowers are now gone
most of the trees are bare
and well, christmas is next week (freaks out!)
despite the fact that we had a very mild autumn, winter is here
and there are no flowers when winter is around
until the crocus come
and then the daffodils, tulips, cherry blossoms….
and it all begins all over again
it is oh so sweet and exciting!

We’ve had a couple of cold snaps but on the whole, Autumn has been mild here too. The hyacinth bulbs I planted outdoors at the end of Spring are growing again already! Only a few more weeks and things will start waking up again 🙂

Oh all those lovely red berries! Beautiful!
The trees are getting bare here too – but I’m far too distracted with Christmas to notice much.
Lovely to think that both Lily and Kitty have been singing Christmas songs this week <3
Merry Christmas lovely xx

A few scraggy flowers are hanging on here but some sharp frosts a couple of weeks ago killed off most of them. But the Solstice is fast approaching and i look forward to he the lengthening of the days once again.
Joyeux Noël – I hope you have a lovely time!
