captiva island
this post is made up of pictures from our last day at the beach during summer break
in august of last year
i have held onto these pictures in a folder for a rainy week
or i guess in this case a snowy week
which we have had
after we had breakfast with dear friends, said our goodbyes and went home to pack, i decided to take us to our favorite beach one last time
a spontaneous move which i am happy i made because we also caught our last amazing sunset (to this day sadly)
i can’t believe this was the last time we both swam in the ocean
seven months ago
it hurts my soul just a little (a lot) just to type that
anyway, this coming wednesday, Lily and i will be driving south where we will both be reunited with the ocean again
as well as with good old friends
i cannot wait
have a happy weekend friends

beautiful sunset to keep in your memory. 7 months is not that much, the fact is, it’s been a looooong winter for everybody. hope it’ll be a looooong summer, too!

@Mirari,
when you live across street for almost over a decade and get to see the ocean every day, not seeing the ocean for 7 months is a really long time. for me it’s too long an unnatural. i’m not ok with it….
