a carnival cruise. day three. cozumel

as of today, Lily only has one more week of school left

we are so ready for summer break

for adventure

for beach

sun

lazy mornings….

it’s become a lot harder getting up early this past month

but hey, like i said, just one more week

our carnival cruise and cozumel feel like forever ago already

and so do sunsets since i have only seen one here in asheville since spring break in the beginning of april

anyway, when we woke up on our third day on the carnival victory, we were facing the cozumel port

Lily knew that we were getting off the boat and having an excursion however, she did not know that she was going to be swimming with dolphins!

yup

she was beside herself

it’s been something she has been talking about ever since i can remember and well, we made that dream come true in cozumel

in a natural ocean pool, along with eight other people, while taking directions from an instructor, we all took turns taking rides from noel the dolphin (me included)

i can’t tell you what the town of cozumel is really like but i can tell you what swimming with a dolphin was like

and it was pretty fucking magical

especially since i got to do it with my eight year old mermaid

happy friday friends!

a sunrise from our cabin balcony

i miss this view

reading in bed before starting our day

frozen yogurt as breakfast desert. why not

and a little mini golf too. usually a post dinner thing for us but we were waiting to debark

hello port of cozumel

all that blue though….

Lily on the port of cozumel with her new family

post swimming with noel the dolphin. no pictures were allowed while doing so

we caught a sea lion show

and did some swimming in the ocean and in the pool

so long cozumel…
