Things around here have been pretty back to normal and relatively easy.
It took a while after being away for so long, then Lily got sick with hand-foot-and-mouth disease and don’t even get me started on how this past mercury retrograde affected me but, we made it through.
Yesterday I did 4 loads of laundry and today we will be packing because tomorrow we will be flying out to West Virginia.
We are all eager to see family, the mountains and of course the much anticipated holidays.
Here are some cell pics.
Have a great wednesday everyone!

Before getting here, I never even took into consideration the fact that I would be single parenting Lily for a month.
I thought about the flight, seeing my family, diapers, wipes, what clothes to bring, everything except for single parenting.
It has not been easy. Some days definitely more challenging than others. Especially the ones when Lily wakes up and she is a…. shall I say persistent almost little 2 year old?
It is all good however, my thoughts go out to you single mothers.
Here are some delightful moments from Monte Gordo.
I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!
being at the beach again
We have been in Beja Portugal for 1 week today.
It was a week filled with adjustments and family.
Lily has been sleeping all through the night and wakes even later than usual (like 9-10am!).
She has still to really warm up to her avo Carmo and avo Ricardo but she is getting there.
She is ALL about mommy lately but, hey… her pai is far away so, patience.
Aside from spending a lot of family time together, we have been going to different parks and walks around town.
I wish the weather was cooler but, it feels wonderful to walk on these cobble stoned streets under different trees while looking at really old architecture.
Here are some delightful moments and happy full moon!
P.S.- I’m not sure how much traveling I will do this time around so, if you would like to see Portugal, visit some of last year’s posts. Go here, here, here, here and here.

It’s our last week here in West Virginia, we will all be leaving early saturday morning for a week at the beach in the outer banks all together.
We have had a wonderful time here. We always do.
We got to have the very end of summer and the very beginning of fall.
I’m sorry to not have a mama&their babies segment ready for you this wednesday.
Even though I hung out with a mama&her babies, I was having so much fun that blogging was the last thing on my mind.
Instead, here are some pictures of the fun that has been had.
going for walks and picking “tiny apples” from the apple tree
smelling the flowers
smiling for the camera
We have had busy days and mellow days.
We have had chilly days and hot days.
Most of all, we have had wonderful days.
Happy saturday everyone.
