“a portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013”

Lily in our bedroom on valentine’s day

always talking, always imagining, always telling stories

it is during moments like these that i will hear things like:

“mommy, when i grow bigger and when you grow smaller, i’m going to be your mommy and i’m going to help you”

the sweetest she is

“a portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013”

Lily in her room all dressed up, putting on shows

one of the the main reasons i decided to join Jodi with this beautiful 52 project is because at the end of the year, i do want to put a book together of all the 52 Lily portraits

believe it or not, out of the thousands of pictures i take of Lily, there is not one book (shame)

that being said, i want to make sure that each portrait represents the three year old that Lily is

dressing up and an imaginary world is a huge part of Lily’s play time/life

as i’m sure it is with most children this age

you can see more of this day here

“a portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013”

Lily and Foxy have only known each other since november but they act like siblings already

with Foxy trying to sneak into her room as often as he can to take any of her toys only to be chased out by her

more times than not, they are cuddling, kissing and loving on each other with Lily saying “mommy, i love my doggie”

they have become quite the pair these two

in this moment here, they are watching the movie tangled

floral, a photo challenge

it’s hard to believe this photograph will be a year old in august

out of the thousands (thousands and thousands) of pictures i take of Lily there are some that permanently hold a place in my mind (and heart)

this is one of them

Lily in west virginia running with flowers for Hayes, her grandmother

joining Chelsey from the paper mama with this week’s challenge, floral
