I looked at TONS of bedding when I was “nesting” before I found out that Lily was in fact a Lily. The set I always kept on coming back for was this Skip Hop Mod Dot set. It was great for both genders I thought.
Here is a happy Lily through the months enjoying her Skip Hop bedding. In January wearing a striped shirt that was a gift from aunt Sarah with a jumper from babyGap, In February wearing pajamas that were a gift, and in March wearing monkey and striped pajamas both by Old Navy.
I want Lily to take her time growing up. I want to enjoy her as a baby as long as I can, who knows, there might not be another baby and she might be the only one. I do however get excited when I see arts and crafts projects and can’t wait for days and hours filled with them and Lily!
They are wonderful! They last all through the night without leaking. There have been no messy, runny spills but, since Lily started eating food, there are no runny poops anymore. There are solid poops now! (I would take a picture but everything has its limits, no? ;))
The Huggies Pure&Natural are just what they say they are. Pure&Natural! They are made of organic cotton, they are hypoallergenic, they have aloe and vitamin E, no funny scents, no dyes, they are soft! And….with the exception of the faint Winnie The Pooh print, they are almost all white. Isn’t that what a diaper is supposed to be, white?
This weekend was truly an amazing family weekend. The family was all together and the weather was PERFECT!
On saturday Lily and I took Will to the playground since he is always working when we go. Both Lily and Will got to go on the swings. 😉 It was such a relaxing time for Lily on the swing with the light breeze blowing the leaves on the trees that she fell asleep!
Later in the afternoon we met our friends at Zeke’s on Lincoln Rd. Zeke’s is one of our favorite beer places not just because they have $4.00 beers but also because they are so baby friendly!
After Zeke’s, we had dinner at B&B, the new burger place by our house. Lily was so tired that she fell asleep and both Will and I were able to have both hands free to eat dinner.
Lily slept almost 7 hours in a row saturday night into sunday morning so I was able to get some good sleep as well.
When we woke up sunday morning, it was obvious that it was going to be a beach day. We decided we would head out after Lily’s morning nap since she never sleeps that long.
Well, wouldn’t you know it, of all days, we had to wake her up because she had been sleeping for over an hour.
After walking to uncle Darren’s house, we walked over to the Front Porch Cafe where I had some delicious french toast and Lily had some mashed bananas. It was a delicious and much missed breakfast.
We got to the beach at around 2pm, Lily’s nap time. We set up her little tent and took her over by the water so she could dip her toes. Although she was delighted by it all, she was a cranky Lily and she soon fell asleep in her shaded tent.
She slept for 2 hours! That has not happened in a very looooooong time.
While Lily slept, uncle Darren watched over her while Will and I went swimming. The water was chilly but super blue and clear. I swam around for a bit, something I had not done since before giving birth to Lily.
When a happy and rested Lily finally awoke, we hung out for a bit longer and then it was time to head home for warm baths and pajamas.
It was truly an amazing beach sunday. It was a perfect weekend and we all feel rejuvenated, energized and ready to take on a new week.
Oh! We added avocado to Lily’s menu. She loved it! She now eats rice cereal, bananas, sweet potatoes and avocados. She seems to really go bananas for bananas! 😉
Here is Lily on saturday wearing a bodysuit, pants and shoes all by babyGap and hat by Zutano. And on sunday wearing a Polo bodysuit that was a gift from Margeaux and hat by Zutano.
