Lily in the living room.
Playing with the etch-a-sketch that auntie K gave her.
Trying to trace her own hand.
I’m so happy that pai and mama have decided to stay here in Miami.
Even though I act like a little punk around the both of you sometimes because I get jealous of the attention you get, if we had moved, I would have missed the both of you terribly!
You were there the night I was born and got to see me moments after and I’m so happy that you will get a chance to watch me grow.
There are so many things I look forward to us doing together.
Key West trips, more picnics at the beach during full moons, birthdays, Easter egg hunts, Halloween, vacation days, trips to the Fairchild Botanical Garden, the zoo….
I can’t wait!
I love you both (maybe even a little more than I love Elmo),
We had a great turn out at our full moon beach picnic last night.
It was just wonderful being around friends while watching the moon rise from the ocean.
I hadn’t done that in forever and one thing about Miami, we get beautiful moons here.
How about you?
Did any of you do anything special for the “special” moon last night?
P.S.- 2 more things:
1- Will and I are totally loving our camera. We took turns taking pictures last night. (Zura also took some too!)
2- We had such a great time being surrounded by so many wonderful friends and the ocean that when we got home, we started looking at Miami listings again…..
I have known auntie K since 7th grade. (yeah, that’s a long time!)
After high school we lost touch for a bit only to be reunited back in NJ in 1994-5.
She then moved to Denver and we lost touch again.
Well, we were reunited again here in Miami Beach in 2004.
Since 2006 we have been neighbors because we live in buildings next to each other.
She is one of my dearest friends.
On saturday we had an all day brunch here at the house in her honor.
Perhaps the last time we will celebrate her birthday all together here in Miami as neighbors. 🙁
Yesterday was all about no agenda other than to hang out with our family here.
We had brunch and a walk on the beach with uncle Darren.
And then once auntie K got off work, she too came and joined us all on the balcony.
It was a great weekend all together.
Hope you all had a great weekend too!
