Sunday, a repeat of saturday

How was everyone’s weekend?

Yesterday was basically a repeat of saturday.

Lily and I went to the beach with uncle Darren and our friend Chloe met up with us there also.

We stayed at the beach longer than usual, it was almost 1pm when we left. Ouch!

We all had lunch at the Front Porch and on our walk home on Lincoln Rd, Lily was a bit like a zombie.

She wasn’t the only one, I feel like I had a marathon of a week.

But hey, Will is back home and I can at least enjoy my coffee peacefully in the morning again.

Happy monday everyone!

19 years closer

We had a great turn out at our full moon beach picnic last night.

It was just wonderful being around friends while watching the moon rise from the ocean.

I hadn’t done that in forever and one thing about Miami, we get beautiful moons here.

How about you?

Did any of you do anything special for the “special” moon last night?

P.S.- 2 more things:

1- Will and I are totally loving our camera. We took turns taking pictures last night. (Zura also took some too!)

2- We had such a great time being surrounded by so many wonderful friends and the ocean that when we got home, we started looking at Miami listings again…..

A very celebratory weekend

I celebrated 4 birthdays this weekend.

Yes, 4!

It started friday night out with the girls to celebrate Tamara’s and Valerie’s birthdays.

We all had a great time at News Lounge where we scored our own private Moroccan style room.

We drank, we ate, we had chocolate fondue for desert, it was super fun!

On saturday we went to Sofia’s first birthday party and later on at night I went over to uncle Darren’s house where we celebrated our friend Chloe’s birthday.

I had birthday cake twice that day. YUM!

Sunday we had a pretty chill family day.

We had brunch, we went over to Collins park, the W hotel.

It was a great weekend.

How about you guys? Did you have a good weekend?

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving yesterday.

Despite us not being with family and having some dear friends away, we had a great holiday.

We collaborated with our next door neighbors.

He’s a chef so he cooked 2 turkeys, mashed potatoes, broccoli, baked fresh organic bread.

I made the stuffing Portuguese style this year (it’s called migas in Portuguese which is basically fried stuffing) as well as organic cranberry sauce.

It was my first time making the stuffing this way.

As a child, I watched my great grand mother make it at least once a week.

It turned out awesome!

Lily enjoyed herself by playing with all the adults and cat at the party and eating all the delicious food.

Happy black friday everyone! Happy shopping and have a great weekend!

Back where we left off

We left Beja, Portugal on friday at 3am in order to be at the Lisboa airport by 5am and catch our flight at 7am.

We finally arrived home in Miami at 6pm. (11pm Portuguese time)

We were all exhausted!!!

After going to sleep very early on all 3 nights, we are all finally feeling pretty much back to normal.

This weekend was mostly for unwinding and catching up with good friends.

It’s funny because in a way, being surrounded by our friends and chilling out underneath the palm trees, it felt like we were never even really gone.

Here are some fun pictures from sunday.

Even better the second time around!

Yesterday even though it was windy, we had a wonderful time at the beach with Will, uncle Darren and our new friend Chloe.

Because the day before was such a success with Lily, we really let her loose and explore the beach pretty much on her own.

She played on the sand and on the water all by herself. 🙂 She was sitting and splashing, on her belly grabbing the sand, she was having the time of her life!

I’m sure it felt wonderful to be diaper free as well! 😉

And after all that playing on the sand, she went for another full dip in the ocean. Refreshing!

Here we all are yesterday enjoying a wonderful sunday at the beach and a very happy Lily. Lily wears a hat by Zutano.
