A Christmas day walk

Unlike the past two years where it snowed like crazy, this past Christmas day was perfect for a walk in the woods.

Clear blue sky, crisp air….

While some napped during the afternoon, Will, Lily, Hayes, the dogs and I went for a walk.

It’s always one of the great things I miss a lot when I am in Miami.

I feel like my head is still in a Christmas/birthday fog and tomorrow night will be New Year’s Eve.

Are you all ready for 2012? I am and am not all at the same time.

Happy friday everyone!

Christmas day

We woke up Christmas morning and there were stockings by our bed. After opening them, we made a pot of coffee and woke up the rest of the gang.

Once everyone was a bit awake, we went over to the Christmas tree and opened up all the wonderful gifts that were left there for everyone.

Everyone including Lily took their time opening and admiring their great gifts.

A big brunch was made with the left-overs from Christmas eve dinner.

This was our third Christmas here and it was by no means a white Christmas like the last two but it was nonetheless a wonderful Christmas!

Christmas eve

On Christmas eve we made a big dinner, Lily got to open her ornament present (a tradition we started least year), we read The night before Christmas, she left cookies and milk for Santa and once she was asleep, we adults sat by the fire.

It was just like how it’s supposed to be, with family.

Happy monday and I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!

A Christmas card

Will designed our Christmas card this year. What do you think? (i kinda love it!)

Well, here we are! Christmas eve day. I love Christmas eve. It always reminds me of being a child and being surrounded by family. It always brings back such magical feelings.

I can’t wait to see Lily’s little face tomorrow morning when she sees the tree full of presents from Santa.

Let the magic of Christmas begin!!

I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Especially to my family in Portugal and to our very dear friends.

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

many blessings from me, Lily and Will!!

Decorating the tree

It was a cold and grey sunday, we drank coffee with baileys, made a big brunch and drank bloody maries.

The house smelled like bread and cookies being baked and some of us didn’t get out of our pajamas all day.

This weekend is Christmas and I can’t believe it! Once again we are so blessed to be together with family.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and many blessings to you all!

Safe travels D!!!

Our dearest Darren is embarking on a long trip to Africa to go on safari.

He will be gone through Christmas until the new year.

We wish him the safest of travels and a wonderful journey.

Love you D!!! Be safe and have fun.
