A note to pet owners

Clean up your dog’s shit!!!

There is nothing I hate more than a pet owner who doesn’t clean up after his/her pet.

I swear everyone in South Beach has a dog.

Which is fine, I like dogs but, CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG!!!!!!!!

If you have a yard and you let your dog shit all over your yard, that is your choice.

The streets, sidewalks and parks are for EVERYONE and I’m tired of seeing dog shit all over the place.

There are boxes with plastic bags at almost every corner.

Use them.

And after you use them, throw the bag of shit in the garbage. (there are garbage containers at almost every corner also)

Thank you!

It’s a dog world

LOL, no heavy subject here today.

It’s just nice to have dogs around to distract Lily during the day.

Since Lola has been chewing everything around this place, she has been banned from the house a bit during the day. (sorry Jeannine)

Lily has been hanging out mostly with Titus and Rio.

(Sorry some of the pictures are blurry but I don’t like using flash and Lily and the dogs will not sit still! 😉 )

Family, it’s a wonderful thing

We had a wonderful weekend with the whole family together.

Something that doesn’t happen as often as we would all like.

It was wonderful seeing Lily and Adelaide play together. The two cousins had not seen each other since Christmas time and Lily was not even 2 months old then.

There was some fishing in the pond, lots of running around with the dogs, blackberry picking, rolling on the grass, and lots of good cooking by avo Hayes.

It’s wonderful to be surrounded by family and nature all around. I feel so blessed to be a part of it all.

Dirty little piggies

Last week Lily and I played in front of our apartment entry.

Not the cleanest place to play but, it was the only place with shade at that hour.

I got out the bubbles and even though it was the first time Lily was seeing them, she wasn’t too excited. She was more excited about the wand. (she wants everything I’m holding)

She also got to play with Morgan, our neighbor’s cute (cute, cute!) little poodle. Lily and Morgan get along so well. 🙂

After an hour of crawling around on the cement floor, Lily was the dirtiest I have ever seen her.

Her legs and toes were BLACK!

It was straight to the shower when play time was over.

First taste of rain

Lately every time Lily wants to step out to the balcony, she crawls over to the sliding glass door, waves her hands up and down and looks at me.

I know what this means already so I pick her up and out to the balcony we go.

Lily’s favorite thing to do once she is on the balcony is to be on a lap leaning against the railing (don’t worry, she is held tight) and look out to see what is going on in the neighborhood.

She watches the cars going by, neighbors walking their dogs, the birds flying by (loves them) and watches the leaves in the trees blow in the wind.

There we all were yesterday enjoying the late afternoon on the balcony when it started pouring! Typical weather for Miami this time of the year.

As it started pouring, Lily was leaning against the railing and little drops of rain began to lightly sprinkle her.

Just like when she showers, she reached out with her delicate little fingers to try to catch the rain and her little tongue began to reach out for the droplets of water as well.

It was the cutest thing ever watching Lily have her first taste of rain.

She loves water!

Here is Lily on the balcony yesterday catching and tasting rain. Lily wears a onesie that was a gift.
