Oh these beautiful little faces…

These little faces that surround Lily and I on a daily basis are some of the most beautiful faces I have seen.

Seriously, all these kids are so happy and they all play so well together.

They have been part of each others lives for practically 1 year now.

They have all grown so much…

We are truly blessed to live in such a place where the playground is the most heavenly spot.

I captured a few of these beautiful faces the other day.

Happy friday everyone, hope your weekend is filled with happy faces. 🙂

Oh no he didn’t!

Lily got smacked in the face for the first time by an almost 3 year old boy yesterday.

Yup, you heard me right, SMACKED in the face!

We were at 3rd street park and this boy who she was playing with, just raised his hand and smacked her!

After I picked my heart up from the floor and completely restrained myself from eating him alive (and before I went Jersey on his little ass), I calmly walked over and told him to please not hit her and that “hitting is NOT nice!”.

The little boy’s grandfather also came over and not only apologized for his grandson’s actions but also made him apologize. (which he did)

Lily just stood there not knowing what to do.

Her little lip was pouting and she was trying so hard not to cry. 🙁 (her face was bright red where the boy smacked her, i wanted to cry!)

We accepted the boy’s apology but went to play somewhere else in the playground.

I told her that it is not nice to hit and nobody wants to play with someone who hits.

You know, maybe it was wrong of me to take her away from him but, we are around a lot of children and nobody ever hits anybody.

I really think that there are kids who hit and kids who don’t hit.

I removed Lily from the situation because I could totally see that boy smacking her again.

And then I could see myself smacking him right back!

Has this happened to any of you?

What did you do?

What would you have done?

don’t smack me boy, or my mama will smack you back!

Lincoln Rd is our backyard

Despite my bad mood yesterday, we did go to the library in the morning and played on Lincoln Rd in the afternoon.

After all, my bad mood is not Lily’s fault.

Lincoln Rd often feels like our backyard.

It’s where we go when we want to get out of the house and I don’t feel like going to the park.

It’s only 2 blocks away and Lily loves watching everyone walk by.

Our first “We are going home” moment

Lily and I went to Flamingo park yesterday morning.

We were having a wonderful time until she threw her third fit while there.

They weren’t big fits, but they were the first ones I have seen her throw.

She lightly threw herself on the ground and whined when I told her “No.”.

After she threw herself on the ground the third time, I lightly cupped her face to REALLY talk eye to eye with her but before I was able to say anything, she slapped my hand.

Are you kidding me?

Who is this person?

After she slapped me, I told her that we don’t slap and due to her bad behavior, we were leaving the park and going home.

Which we did.

Moms out there, are your little ones doing this too?

If/when they do, what do you do?

Advice please!

Lily and Samba

Ever since Lily spent time with Titus, Rio and most importantly, Lola in West Virginia, she loves dogs.

LOVES dogs!

Samba, Ricky’s dog is here visiting with him and Lily is not sure what to make of her yet. (maybe it’s Samba’s monkey face that throws her off…)

She likes petting Samba but the moment Samba turns around, Lily runs away. LOL

Samba is 10 years old but at times she still acts like a big ol’ spazz!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Miami Children’s Museum

On saturday we were invited to meet some friends at the Miami Children’s Museum.

It was our first time there and we had a blast!

There was so much to do. That place is HUGE!

We will definitely go back!

P.S.- I would also like to add that Lily looked exceptionally cute in her jumper that tio Ricky and Anabela sent her from Portugal and sandals that were a gift from aunt Desiree.
