I’ve been wondering again if Miami is where we should be and if it’s really our home.
Do any of you feel the same way about where you live?
Maybe it’s because I moved around a lot when I was little that I have the difficulty to stay put and always feel like the air is cooler on the other side.
Maybe I just haven’t quite found the place that is home.
Although, home is where the heart is right? So obviously Portugal, New Jersey, San Diego and Miami have all been home. At one time or another.
I seem to be filled with a lot of life changing questions in this new year of 2012.
Is Miami our home? Do I want another child? Am I still me?… Lots of questions and no definite answers yet.
Anyway, if you are friends with me on FB, you may have noticed my picture morning greetings.
It’s a series of mug shots (coffee mug that is) I have been having fun with called Good morning Miami.
It’s silly but it has been cheap entertainment for me.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Everything is unpacked and put away, Will and Lily went to the market yesterday and bought some things, not too much laundry to be done….
Today we will be relaxing at home and just being. Here. At home.
Have a great saturday everyone!
We made it home safely from West Virginia.
It was a long day yesterday and seriously, Lily is an angel.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Happy monday everyone! How was your long holiday weekend?
Things around here have been pretty chill and back to normal lately.
Lily and I have been back from Portugal for almost a month and it finally feels like we have gotten into the groove of our routine.
It feels good to be home, and sometimes it feels like Portugal and West Virginia happened a long time ago. (even though they didn’t)
I have been trying to not get completely flustered with the fact that Christmas is less than a month away, that I turn 39 exactly 1 month from today and that 2012 is right around the corner.
Is it just me or did this year fly by?
I mean, I feel like I’m always trying to catch up…
Anyway, here are some weekly cell pics of what we have been up to lately.
On this Thanksgiving (and every day really) there is so much that I am truly so thankful for.
Here is a short and sweet little list.
I am thankful for Will. He is the best husband, my best friend, and such a wonderful father. He always talks me into reason the right way. I’m not easy. I can be loca sometimes. 😉
I am thankful for my blue eyed cheeky-cheeky Lily. I would have never known this kind of crazy, unconditional mad love if it wasn’t for her. (and Will also)
I am thankful for my family. When I say family, I mean my blood family and the family I married into. I love you all so much and am ever so fortunate to have you all in my life.
I am thankful for the wonderful friends I have. Some are close, many are far but nonetheless, you are all so supportive and full of love.
I am thankful for our good health.
I am thankful that I get to be a stay at home mom to Lily, to watch her grow and not miss a second of it. (thank you Will!)
I am thankful for the roof over our heads. Although I get frustrated with our living situation many times, I am completely aware that there are many who don’t have a roof over their heads.
I am thankful for the food on our table.
I am thankful to this blog which has given me the opportunity to share my experiences and meet so many other moms who I would have not had a chance to meet. What a great support system!
And although silly, I am thankful for Facebook. It helps me keep in touch with family, friends that live close and far and reconnect with long lost friends.
I told you I would make it short and sweet. (time to eat!)
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
Lily last year on Thanksgiving. she was only 19 days old. what a difference 1 year makes!
Lily and I went to Flamingo park yesterday morning.
We were having a wonderful time until she threw her third fit while there.
They weren’t big fits, but they were the first ones I have seen her throw.
She lightly threw herself on the ground and whined when I told her “No.”.
After she threw herself on the ground the third time, I lightly cupped her face to REALLY talk eye to eye with her but before I was able to say anything, she slapped my hand.
Are you kidding me?
Who is this person?
After she slapped me, I told her that we don’t slap and due to her bad behavior, we were leaving the park and going home.
Which we did.
Moms out there, are your little ones doing this too?
If/when they do, what do you do?
(Please vote for us here. Thank you!)
