Tiny apple… small style

One of Lily’s favorite things to do when we go for walks around here is to stop by the apple tree and pick a “tiny apple” to eat.

It’s something we do almost daily and something I will miss doing with her.

This is our last small style post here in West Virginia, we will be leaving on saturday.

We have had a wonderful month and will miss this place madly.

The two outfits below are my favorites from last week.

Linking up to Morgan for Small Style.

top- Old Navy. shorts- babyGap. leggings- Old Navy. moccasins- Minnetonka

in case none of you have noticed, this is Lily’s “smile” pose for the camera. lol

Mommy Style Update

I’m trying to get back into fashion because I have missed it. (don’t worry, it is still a baby blog and there will still be a lot of Lily pictures)

I’m trying to actually get “dressed” every day like I used to before Lily was born.

I feel like I have become quite lazy about dressing and taking care of myself so, I figured this will at least make me motivated.

It might not be a daily post, or it might , either way, here’s the debut of MOMMY STYLE UPDATE.

Today: The classic white shirt.

Everyone has done it.

Mine is actually a pajama top that was hanging in my closet so I thought “why not?”.

Lily and I went to the library, to lunch and to the post office and this is what we wore:

Very girlie indeed

Lily is becoming quite the little girl.

She loves jewelry.

She likes picking out her own shoes. (I would like to say she gets this only from me but, you should see Will’s shoe collection)

She likes bags. (ok, she gets this from me πŸ˜‰ )

Lately, whenever she and I are headed out and she sees me grab my bag, she grabs a bag.

Here she is as she walked around our neighborhood yesterday.

I like to call it LILY AND THE CITY.

what? you didn’t know that 2 bags is the new trend?

Fall fashion. Day 7

Last day of Fall Fashion. Booooooooo πŸ™

It is a windy sunday here in Beja, Portugal.

It will be a chill day. Will is here (YAY!) so we are just hanging out and spending time together.

I had SO much fun this week!

It was really wonderful visiting new as well as some old blogs and getting to know you lovely ladies through your personal style.

Since we are in Portugal and there really is no Halloween here, we are not dressing up.

However, with my Portuguese Sagres beer I CHEER all of you.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!

I’m wearing: Headband by CVS, Earrings are vintage (you’ve seen them this week already), Scarf by Scoop NYC, Grandpa cardigan sweater by GAP, T-Shirt by Gap, Tank underneath by Gap, Jeggings by Gap (since when did I become a GAP mom? not that there is anything wrong with the Gap, obviously, but still!!!), and moccasin/shoes by Boutique 9.

Oh! And Lily went to the cafe with Will so there are no pictures of her but she looks cute! πŸ˜‰

(Please vote for us here. Thank you!)

cheers!

Fall fashion. Day 6

Another grey, cold and rainy day here in Beja, Portugal. (it’s ok really, we have had beautiful weather up until now)

We are going to Lisboa to pick Will up at the airport in a little while and we are super excited!!! (we have never been apart for this long)

My inspiration today is the painter Gustav Klimt. He is one of my favorite artists and when he painted he always wore a long smock.

My tunic isn’t necessarily long πŸ˜‰ but, it reminds me of the painting smocks I used to wear in pre-school.

What I’m wearing: Knitted hat by Urban Outfitters, Earrings by Anthropologie, Tunic by some random Portuguese label, Shirt underneath by Forever 21 (31 πŸ˜‰ ), Tights by some other random Portuguese label, Bag by Zara, Booties by French Connection (they’re baaaaack!!!)

Fall fashion. Day 5

It is a windy, grey, cold, rainy day today.

If I were to go out I would wear this:

Jacket/coat by Anthropologie (gift from Will), Dress by Forever 21 (or Forever 31 as I like to call it), Shirt worn underneath by French Connection, Tights by H&M, Boots by Matisse (surprise! I wore different ones today πŸ˜‰ )

Fall fashion. Day 4

TIGHTS!!!!

How about that?

You get no stripes and no jeans/leggings from me today.

The temperature dropped a bit this morning so it was nice putting on warmer clothes.

You are getting a profile shot from me (it’s better than frontal anyway) because Lily slept horribly last night (she’s sick). Which meant that I slept horribly last night and have a tired face once again. (I don’t know about you winning Allie)

What I’m wearing: Knitted hat by Gap, Earrings (same as yesterday) are vintage, Long sweater cardigan by Zara, Dress/tunic by French Connection (it’s probably 6 years old but I still always wear it and love it), Tights (my faves, I love how they are cable knit and have colored specks) by Steve Madden and…. Booties by French Connection (yes, it’s the 4th day in a row that I’m wearing them. I might wear them the whole week! πŸ˜‰ )

Fall fashion. Day 2

Ok, I’m back from trying to update my Portuguese ID card and passport.

Drama!!

Will be harder than I thought.

Anyway, it is such a beautiful (and warm) day here it hardly feels like fall.

I just realized after taking the pictures that I’m big time into navy and gray this fall.

Striped shirt by Zara (I love Zara!), White tank by Gapbody, Corduroy legging/pants by Anthropologie (seriously, I have to try really hard to not put these on every day, I bought them in gray and olive green. they are  awesome!!), Bag by Urban Outfitters (also functions as a diaper bag), Headband by CVS (6 colors for like $5.00. hello!), Sunglasses by Marc Jacobs (old but LOVE!), Traditional Portuguese gold earrings that were a gift from my dad, Booties by French Connection (you will seriously see these on my feet almost every day because i LOVE them!!)

Is everyone else having as much fun as me doing this?

Thanks Emeryjo!!

Must have of the day

Owls, ladybugs and a best friend named Sofia!!!

These 2 baby girls have been growing together for a few months now and I’m just loving the way they are interacting lately.

Typical that Lily would be wearing an owl shirt (I love owls) and that Sofia would be wearing a ladybug shirt (Claudia loves ladybugs). They are their mother’s daughters…. πŸ˜‰

Here are Lily and Sofia playing at the park yesterday. Lily wears a shirt and leggings both by babyGap.
