Well, it’s monday again. Did this weekend fly by for you as well?
I think it’s the fact that we were so busy this weekend that made it go so fast. No down time at all.
Yesterday afternoon we went to Sofia’s second birthday party.
It was the first time in weeks that Lily was seeing all her friends because of the hand-foot-and-mouth disease.
All the little ones were excited to see each other. There was lots of hugging, hand holding, kissing, smiling and squealing going on.
There were also a couple of firsts for many of them. Virginia Key Park where the party took place had a train and a carousel where all the little ones enjoyed rides.
It was an afternoon well spent and I’m glad Lily got better just in time to make it to her bff’s birthday party.
Happy monday everyone!
We were supposed to leave tomorrow night but, since Will ended up having the day off today (thank you Jason) we will be hitting the road tonight.
This morning we went to the beach for a last dip in the ocean and I wish I could say it was great but 30 minutes after getting there, the water was full of fish and jelly fish.
I got lightly stung again, not fun but, at least Lily didn’t.
We did however have a great lunch with our friends Zura and Lien and fun at babyGap where I picked up some much needed 99c socks for Lily and the girls put on a show modeling the latest coats and hats.
We will be on the road until friday night and the internet in WV is not the greatest so, if you don’t see a new post on here or don’t hear from me, don’t you worry.
And now… I have to pack. See you all soon!
Lily had her first play date at home yesterday.
Zura needed to run some kid-free errands and I offered to take Lien for a few hours.
It was a bit challenging for Lily to share her things and her space at first, it was the first time.
Several times she said “e meu mommy” (it’s mine mommy) and I had to explain to her that we all knew the toys were hers but Lien is her friend and came to play with her so it’s nice to share.
They colored, they played in the mini kitchen, they had lunch, they read…
I think the most fun was when they both went in the crib, they snuggled, they jumped, they laughed.
It was a fun first play date. 🙂
The last time we went to the Earth N Us farm, Lily was around 6 months old, and she ended up vomiting due to a reaction from a shot that she had had the previous day.
It wasn’t so much fun.
Yesterday however, it was a different story.
She fed goats, chickens, got to see a pig, chase a rooster, see ducklings and ostriches, play with her old friends and make a new one….
It was great!
Earth N Us Urban Organic Farm is owned by Ray who believes in an open door policy. Yes, anyone can just walk in!
They sell organic eggs, honey and goat milk.
It is located at 7630 NE 1st Ave in Miami.
Have a wonderful saturday everyone!
Lily’s favorite street
Lily meet ostrich. Ostrich, meet Lily
It’s that time of year in Miami where the ocean is extra calm and extra flat.
I guess if I was a surfer wanting waves, I would be complaining but, I’m not.
The ocean has been perfect for Lily to walk around in and explore all by herself.
On wednesday we had a beach play date with our friends Lien and Zura, we had a great time.
Yesterday we spent the morning at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden with our friends Zura and Lien.
Despite all the mosquitoes that tried to eat all 4 of us up, there was still enough splendor for us to feast our eyes on and keep us there for a while.

Yesterday we went to the library for a special reading of Dr. Seuss Green eggs and ham.
Did you know it was a $50.00 bet between Dr. Seuss and his publicist to see if he could write a book using only 50 words?
I didn’t. (crappy thing is the publicist never paid him the $50.00!)
Did you know it is the most popular and most sold book out of all the Dr. Seuss books?
Peter from the Miami Children’s Museum (he also did Mr. Potato Head last month) is great with the kids.
I think the performance could have been not as LOUD and I think that Sam I Am was a bit cracked out but for the most part all of the kids seemed to have liked it.
We had an egg hunt for the kids at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden yesterday.
Since we didn’t want to be in the midst of huge crowds, we decided to have our very own private egg hunt and what better place than our very own botanical garden.
Lily was so excited and she totally got into looking for the eggs and putting them into her little basket.
She wasn’t the only one, I think all of the kids enjoyed themselves.
It was a long and exhausting weekend (Lily hasn’t napped for the last 3 days) that started on friday but really, we had a wonderful time with all of our friends.
Happy monday everyone!
Claudia, Zura and I met up with the girls (of course) at Flamingo Park yesterday.
These three little ones are too much.
It’s monkey see, monkey do x 3 when they are together!
If one of them wants raisins, the other two also want raisins.
If one wants water, the other two want water. (they are also constantly exchanging each others waters)
If one cries, the other two cry.
They are three little monkeys!!
