Back where we left off

We left Beja, Portugal on friday at 3am in order to be at the Lisboa airport by 5am and catch our flight at 7am.

We finally arrived home in Miami at 6pm. (11pm Portuguese time)

We were all exhausted!!!

After going to sleep very early on all 3 nights, we are all finally feeling pretty much back to normal.

This weekend was mostly for unwinding and catching up with good friends.

It’s funny because in a way, being surrounded by our friends and chilling out underneath the palm trees, it felt like we were never even really gone.

Here are some fun pictures from sunday.

Well, Lisboa is really the last place that I have to show you from our trip here in Portugal.

There really isn’t even that much because we didn’t spend a lot of time there this time around.

We really wanted to see Sintra. Which we did and it was amazing!

However, we did get to see the Torre de Belem right after the sun set and we got to do some shopping and walking around the Rossio the following morning before returning back to Beja.

I hope that you all have enjoyed the tour of our trip here in Portugal.

Today is our last day here 🙁 so it’s all about the packing and spending our last hours here with family.

Porto was AWESOME!! (despite the cold, the rain and being away from Lily)

It is such a great city. I think I like it better than Lisboa. (I still have to do a Lisboa post…)

We left Beja at 10am (as planned) on monday.

We had lunch right outside of Lisboa and arrived in Porto at around 4pm.

We found A Casa da Musica (what an AMAZING building!) right away and picked up our tickets to Broken Social Scene. (I will do a separate post on A Casa da Musica and the concert)

We were also lucky enough to find a good hotel with good rates right by A Casa da Musica.

After unloading our luggage and freshening up a bit at the hotel, we took a cab to the Ribeirinha.

It was great being able to see it both at night and during the day. (we went back yesterday afternoon)

To show you better, here are lots of pics. 😉

Yesterday we went to Mertola.

Mertola is about 45 minutes away from Beja and it’s another one of those very old towns here in Portugal.

It was a beautiful, sunny and clear day.

We checked out Mertola’s castle and its beautiful cemetery.

It was a good time.

We are going to Lisboa today for a couple of days. I will not be posting tomorrow so don’t go on thinking there is anything wrong. 😉

Have any of you seen this before? (pictures below)

Yesterday, when I went to use the restroom at the airport in Lisboa while we were waiting for Will to arrive, I saw this great invention in one of the stalls.

I seriously think it’s one of the most genius inventions EVER!

I mean, I don’t know about any of you other moms but, I could have used this a thousand times already!!!
