living room

2 in 1

Since we have decided to stay in Miami, we are still living in our 1 bedroom 850sq apartment.

We are slowly looking at houses to either rent or buy but until then, it was time for Lily to have her own room.

The answer?

We moved our bed into the living room.

You would think it wouldn’t work but it actually does.

Since I bought this apartment in 2006, it has been changed around so many times.

From me living here as a single girl, to Will moving in, to Lily being born and now to Lily having her own room.

It’s not easy turning a 1 bedroom into a 2 bedroom but I think we did ok.

What do you think?

House dreaming

Every time I receive the West Elm catalog in the mail, I drool over its pages.

Not over the furniture necessarily but over the layouts, the space, the light, the space, the space, the space…

Will and I have been wanting to live in a house for quite sometime now.

It’s getting closer. 🙂 (changes to come in this new year of 2011)

Are you ok, Lily?

Last week while I was making lunch for Lily, I peaked into the living room where she was playing and I couldn’t believe my eyes.

She wasn’t standing.

She wasn’t sitting.

She was lying down on her play mat playing with her toys.

Lying down!

I had not seen her like that since she was probably 4-5 months old.

I almost grabbed the thermometer and took her temperature.

She was fine.

She was just chilling!

Morning bliss

How do you start your morning?

We start our morning playing with Lily in bed.

It’s a special family moment that always seems to be the perfect way to start every morning.

After a little play time, Will takes Lily into the living room where they have some father-daughter time.

It is then that I grab my computer and catch up on emails and start my blog posts.

Shortly after, Will and Lily bring me my cup of coffee. It’s the sweetest thing!

That one hour to myself, is my one hour of morning bliss.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

notice anything missing? my coffee. it had not yet arrived.
