Yesterday Lily and I met our friends at Flamingo Park and then we all went out to lunch at Thrive.
I wore a dress again. (and so did Lily) 🙂
When I woke up yesterday morning I had no idea that daylight savings had taken place.
Did that happen to any of you?
We had a great sunday.
Uncle Darren came over for lunch and a nap 😉 , we walked around Lincoln Rd and checked out the vintage market, checked out some art at the Lincoln Rd Gallery and some books at Books&Books.
Before we knew it, it was 7pm and we were still out and about!
How was your weekend?
It was so beautiful out all day yesterday, we really spent most of the day out on our balcony with the exception of a long morning walk.
We walked to our favorite French bakery and picked up a fresh baguette to make lunch sandwiches with.
It was a nice and easy saturday, hope you all had a great day too!

Lily is eating pretty much everything nowadays.
Sometimes it’s just hard trying to figure out what exactly to feed her.
She eats 4 full meals every day.
BREAKFAST. She usually has oatmeal with milk, banana, cinnamon and honey with some fresh fruit (usually grapes) on the side. Sometimes instead of oatmeal, she will have a 1 egg omelet, some toast and fresh fruit.
LUNCH. Noodles with olive oil and parmesan cheese, mac and cheese, grilled cheese, soups, cheese and turkey sandwich, sweet potatoes and other veggies, etc. And then of course, fresh fruit on the side.
AFTERNOON LUNCH/SNACK. Either a waffle with butter and a drizzle of syrup with fruit or yogurt with fruit.
DINNER. Most of the time it’s just like lunch. Noodles, soups, veggies, etc
SNACKS. Raisins, baked apples and fruit.
How many meals do your little ones eat?
What do you usually feed them?
I’m always looking for new ideas. 🙂
Our neighbor Jason moved. 🙁
Before he left, he thought of Lily and dropped off some balloons his co-workers had for him at his farewell party.
Lily has really taken to one of the balloons in particular.
He’s green and has blue sunglasses.
It was her buddy all around the house yesterday.
It was my mom’s birthday yesterday.
Tia Tete organized a big lunch at her house with the whole family. (only tio Ricky and Anabela were missing 🙁 )
The lunch started at 12:30pm and when we left it was 9pm. LOL
It was an ALL day event.
Everyone had a wonderful time just spending time together enjoying the present and reminiscing about the old times.
There were also exciting news… prima Ana is pregnant! 🙂 We are all soooooooooo happy for her and Nuno.
P.S- if these ALL day eating events continue, I will need some fat pants because I sure won’t fit in my skinny ones.

Lily is so funny these days.
One of her favorite things to do is play peekaboo.
She covers herself up with something and I ask her “onde esta a Lily?” (“where is Lily?” in Portuguese)
She then uncovers herself to show me she’s right there!
It’s always a good time. 😉
She also puts her arms up in the air when I say “grande!” (“big” in Portuguese).
She let me tape her yesterday after she had lunch.

Last week while I was making lunch for Lily, I peaked into the living room where she was playing and I couldn’t believe my eyes.
She wasn’t standing.
She wasn’t sitting.
She was lying down on her play mat playing with her toys.
I had not seen her like that since she was probably 4-5 months old.
I almost grabbed the thermometer and took her temperature.
She was fine.
She was just chilling!
Lily loves paper.
Let me rephrase that, Lily loves shredding paper.
Yesterday she was surrounded by all of her toys but, what did she opt for instead?
The white paper napkin I had on my lap while I was eating lunch.
The good thing is, who needs a paper shredder when Lily is around?

Our days are usual pretty routine.
After Lily has her breakfast and before she takes her morning nap, we usually play on her mat, read books and magazines and, explore things around the house.
she likes to read up side down 😉
unwanted catalogs are the best entertainment. it will keep her busy for 30 minutes!
