Don’t you just love a good poncho? I know I do!
We were in the mountains of West Virginia far from any Target when the Missoni for Target madness happened.
Auntie K however was in Miami and was one of the people in line early in the morning and didn’t know what she had gotten herself into once those doors opened. lol
As always, she thought of Lily and grabbed her one of the cutest ponchos I have ever seen.
Thanks auntie K for Lily’s first poncho! (Missoni no less)

Yesterday when Lily woke up, Will and I walked in her room together and sang Happy Birthday to her.
Not fully awake yet, she didn’t really know what to make of this birthday stuff we had been talking to her about for days.
Next came the cupcake with a candle, another Happy Birthday was sang and then some presents were opened.
She was so overwhelmed by all the spotlight on her that she decided to share her birthday with Elmo and therefore Elmo turned 2 yesterday as well.
When asked what she wanted to do in the morning, she chose a bike ride to Southpoint park.
She went on the swings, the slide, ran around (with Elmo of course)…
At lunch time I decided to share a birthday tradition of mine and treat her to some french toast, potatoes, eggs and orange juice at Front Porch Cafe.
Once home, we watched Pino-Q!, played in her room and the late afternoon was spent running around on Lincoln Rd in the nice breezy and cool air we have been having.
Lily had calls from WV and Portugal where birthdays were sang to her all throughout the day.
I think she had a great day and she was a very happy 2 year old.
I would also like to thank all of you who left comments on here and of course all of our friends on Facebook for all the wonderful birthday wishes for Lily. Thank you all so much!
so this is what this birthday stuff is all about?
took a little encouragement but she blew her candle like a pro
Well, fashion week is over 🙁 . It was sooooooo much fun!
Not only was it a great opportunity to dress up but to also meet some new ladies who I would not have had the chance to meet through this blogging world.
So, I saved the best for last.
This is one of my favorite dresses.
I love the color combination, I love the fit, I love the fact that it has pockets (I love dresses with pockets) and I love the way it can easily be dressed up (in this case) or dressed down.
These were taken in our building’s courtyard. Everything is so green right now. I think it made the perfect background.
headband (it’s actually the belt for the dress, Missoni), earrings (vintage* Anthropologie)
dress (vintage* Missoni), clutch (vintage* GAP)
shoes (vintage* Marni, a gift from my friend Connie)
*You know what I mean when I say “vintage”. I mean I’ve owned for years. 😉
Lily and I went to our local supermarket (Publix) this morning to pick up some items we needed in the house.
So, that’s where we had our “summer fashion” photo shoot. (yes, people were looking at me like I was weird)
Here is some supermarket fashion for you! 😉
