Winnie the Pooh… small style

Saturday afternoon we took Lily to see Winnie the Pooh.

It was her first movie and she did SO well!

She sat on her seat the whole time while holding a small serving of popcorn and watched attentively.

During the trailers for upcoming movies, she would let out the occasional “oh no!” if there was a falling scene or something worthy of an “oh no!”

Both Will and I were so excited to introduce her to the magic of the movies since we are both huge fans.

Can’t wait to do it again!

A few firsts

Lily had a few firsts this weekend.

Saturday afternoon, Will and I took Lily to see Winnie the Pooh, her first movie. (I will write more and post pics during the week)

Yesterday, instead of going to the beach like we normally do, I suggested we go to Isla Morada to feed the tarpon (fish).

Will, Darren and I used to go down there often but hadn’t been since Lily was born.

At Robbie’s, we fed the tarpon (Lily was amazed by the size of the fish), had lunch and then decided to go kayaking.

Because 400 pictures were taken yesterday (by me, Darren and Will), it is going to take me a while to pick and choose (and edit) so, this post is dedicated to the kayaking (and last part) of our trip.

It was Lily’s (and mine) first time kayaking and she loved it! (and I did too!)

We rented a 3 seater so Lily could sit in the middle and paddled all the way to Indian Island.

Lily willingly put on the little life vest and sat in the middle with no problem (even though there were no belts or anything), she loved stopping along the way to swim around, she enjoyed walking around and explore the island once we got there….

It was a great day filled with fun, we will definitely have to do it again soon.

Hope you all had a great weekend as well. Happy first day of august!

P.S.- I love my new hat that I had to purchase at Robbie’s because I left the house without one AND…. Lily’s Salt Water sandals rocked in the salt water!!!!

Bad teacher, a girl movie date

I’m loving my weekly (or almost weekly) dates with K.

This past wednesday we went to see Bad teacher.

We snuck in some champagne and chips (what, you don’t? you should) and enjoyed Cameron Diaz in a funny performance.

After the movie we had some pizza and wine and afterwards headed over to K’s house where we had the most fun playing with all her clothes.

It was so great trying to see what I could come up with in someone else’s closet.

We both decided that pencil skirts and head scarves are definitely the way to go for this fall. 😉

Little Miss Sunshine

In early 2008 I was walking down Lincoln Rd and I spotted this “Little Miss Sunshine” t-shirt in the babyGap window.

I quickly walked in the store and purchased it.

I wasn’t pregnant and I don’t even think we were planning on having any babies yet although, Will and I had a pretend daughter named Lily. (please don’t think we are too weird)

Little Miss Sunshine is one of my favorite movies and I just thought that if Will and I ever had either a girl or a boy, I would want to see that t-shirt on them.

And, well…it is now 2011 and that size 2t t-shirt now fits Lily and she proudly and happily wore it yesterday. (she likes the fact that it has a rainbow since she is into rainbows lately)

She may not be your typical smiley sunshine girl but if she ends up a bit like this girl, we are happy. 😉
