New World Symphony

The Wizard of Oz

Wednesday night we went back to the New World Symphony for this week’s featured film, The Wizard of Oz.

If I tell you that I had never seen it before, you probably don’t believe me but, I hadn’t.

I know, how dare I call myself a movie person?

I loved everything about it, the story, the singing but most of all, the costumes!!

Lily has become quite the movie chick herself. (I guess all those pregnant days off instant watching movies paid off )

She sat quietly and attentively through the movie and only fell asleep almost at the very end.

She was definitely better than the 20 something year olds who parked themselves next to us and were loud and obnoxious and obviously didn’t care that everyone else was actually there to watch the movie.

And on that (bitch) note have a great weekend everyone!! We will be celebrating uncle Darren’s birthday. 🙂

Wednesday night Will, Lily, uncle Darren and I went over to the New World Symphony for their showing of Casablanca.

I had never seen it before. (I know, I know…)

Like I wrote previously on here, I don’t like watching old (classic) movies at home.

But outside on the big screen?

YES please.

It was a nice and breezy night, we stopped at Spris on Lincoln Rd and grabbed some pizzas and a salad, we brought some white wine, it was just wonderful!

Lily was in love with her uncle Darren and made it through almost the entire movie. (she fell asleep at the end)

I wish you all a wonderful weekend.

Movie night

For being as much of a movie buff as I am, I must admit that when it comes to watching movies at home, I never, ever watch old movies.

I like old movies but, I don’t know, I just never like watching them at home.

Last night we packed up a bunch of goodies in a bag and headed over to the New World Symphony park for their outdoor showing of North by Northwest starring Cary Grant.

It was wonderful!

Both the movie and the experience!

I have never watched a movie anywhere other than in a movie theater or inside a house.

The new New World Symphony is one of the best things that has happened to Miami Beach.

Every wednesday at 8pm they show a movie and anyone can go and enjoy their beautiful grounds and a great flick.

It was a lovely and breezy evening, Lily had a great time, we will for sure do this again. 🙂
