Fun Fair

After working ALL day inside changing everything around in our apartment so Lily can have her own room (and a lot more to do today), we finally stepped out at night.

It was Art Walk in the Design District and in Wynwood.

We had a great time in the Design District with our friends at the Fun Fair and a bit more challenging time in Wynwood.

It is so hard to maneuver a stroller in big crowds of people.

As much as we love to have Lily with us so she can see art and experience different things, we both agreed that next time we need a baby sitter. (Lily was a sport though, she hung in there until 10pm)

Here are some fun pics, hope you are all having a great weekend!

Blue

Yesterday was not a good day for me.

It was the kind of day that I wish I could have pulled the curtains shut and closed out the world.

But, we all know that full time mommies can’t do that.

I was angry, tired, resentful, depressed, claustrophobic, blue.

Here is a picture of “Woman with crossed arms” from Picasso’s Blue Period.

ARTsy wednesday

I have been craving ART. (I think I have said that before….)

And I have also wanted to start introducing Lily to more art. So, I have decided to make wednesdays “ARTsy wednesday”.

Since I have tons of art books that have been quite neglected for some time now, every wednesday, either Lily or I will go to the book shelf and randomly pick a book.

By randomly choosing an artist I hope to refresh my memory and introduce Lily (and maybe you as well) to people I consider masters of the arts, wonderful master pieces and maybe some facts about both the artist and the piece as well.

We will start today and see where it will take us.

Today’s artist is  PABLO PICASSO!
