This week’s challenge: FINGERPRINTS
I love Lily’s toes. They are so funny and expressive.
This picture was taken while she was napping in West Virginia.
One of my favorite outdoor moments this past week was actually at the park.
I just loved watching Lily, Dylan and their new friends all play on the playground like big kids.
I have to admit though, it did break my heart a little.
They are all growing so fast….. ( 🙂 and 🙁 )
Lily, Dylan and Eliza
So after I posted the “Exhausting” post below on friday, later on that morning, Lily took a nap that lasted almost 2 hours!
I couldn’t believe it! (figures, right?)
Anyway, she woke up from her nap so refreshed and in such a good mood.
I felt rested as well. 😉
look at that smile! and those teeth!

This week’s challenge: EXCITEMENT
Now we all know that Lily is for the most part a serious girl but she does get excited every once in a while.
I have never seen such excitement in her face like the time we went swimming at Whittaker.
It was her first time and she was so excited to be there.
She wasn’t the only one, avo Joao was pretty excited too! 😉
Saturday afternoon while I went on a little shopping outing with a friend, Lily and Will had some daughter and daddy time to themselves.
Will took Lily to the park at South Point.
A great park that was renovated a while ago where you can catch some great sunsets as well as watch the ships go by.
They had a great time!
All photos by Will (aka Lily’s dad). Not only is he a great husband and father but he is also an awesome photographer. 😉

This week’s challenge: favorite body part self portrait.
For me, my favorite body part (and not just on me but on women in general) is the neck, collar bone and shoulders. (I know, those are 3 body parts but they all go together ;))
It’s a part of the body that can show strength as well as vulnerability.
It’s one of the reasons I often prefer short hair to long hair.
neck, collar bone and shoulders
There has been an overload of pictures of Lily lately.
Well, my dad who lives in Portugal and has not yet met Lily has been reading the blog.
I’m sooooooooo happy about it!! 🙂
So, I try to put in as many pictures as I can so he can watch his grand Lily grow up.
He will however get to meet her soon.
We just bought our plane tickets last night. (finally!)
Lily and I will be arriving in Portugal on October 14th. That’s my dad’s birthday. (Happy birthday dad!!)
(OLA PAI!!!!!!! Beijinhos.)

This week’s challenge: SELF.
Continuing with my series of bathroom self portraits, this one was just taken at The Sanchez playhouse.
When I was first taking the picture I was mainly focused on the “women” sign and my reflection in the mirror next to it.
“Women”, I thought.
But now looking at the picture, I focus on the strainer for the sink. And I just can’t help but to smile with the symbolism of it all… 😉
