Bad teacher, a girl movie date

I’m loving my weekly (or almost weekly) dates with K.

This past wednesday we went to see Bad teacher.

We snuck in some champagne and chips (what, you don’t? you should) and enjoyed Cameron Diaz in a funny performance.

After the movie we had some pizza and wine and afterwards headed over to K’s house where we had the most fun playing with all her clothes.

It was so great trying to see what I could come up with in someone else’s closet.

We both decided that pencil skirts and head scarves are definitely the way to go for this fall. 😉

Linking up to Mandy for Steppin’ Out.

headband- CVS. jacket- UO (many moons ago, stenciled by me). tank- Theory. bag- Anthropologie. denim cut-offs- Will’s old jeans. belt- UO. booties- F21

Madewell and Andiamo

On thursday night Kristin and I went to the Madewell store opening on Lincoln Rd.

Are you all familiar with Madewell?

It’s owned by J Crew and it’s basically a less expensive (but not cheap) line.

There was a DJ playing old classics by Wham! (hello I love you!) and Hall&Oats, there was grilled cheese, mojitos (strawberry, yum!) and frozen popsicles.

I chose to wear a Mango dress I bought back in 2009 when I was pregnant with Lily.

Although I love this dress, I hadn’t worn it in a while (probably since I had Lily) because it always makes me feel pregnant. (does that happen to any of you with the clothes you used to wear when you were pregnant?)

Kristin and I had a great time and I think the Madewell store is a great addition to Lincoln Rd.

The Wizard of Oz

Wednesday night we went back to the New World Symphony for this week’s featured film, The Wizard of Oz.

If I tell you that I had never seen it before, you probably don’t believe me but, I hadn’t.

I know, how dare I call myself a movie person?

I loved everything about it, the story, the singing but most of all, the costumes!!

Lily has become quite the movie chick herself. (I guess all those pregnant days off instant watching movies paid off )

She sat quietly and attentively through the movie and only fell asleep almost at the very end.

She was definitely better than the 20 something year olds who parked themselves next to us and were loud and obnoxious and obviously didn’t care that everyone else was actually there to watch the movie.

And on that (bitch) note have a great weekend everyone!! We will be celebrating uncle Darren’s birthday. 🙂

Wednesday night Will, Lily, uncle Darren and I went over to the New World Symphony for their showing of Casablanca.

I had never seen it before. (I know, I know…)

Like I wrote previously on here, I don’t like watching old (classic) movies at home.

But outside on the big screen?

YES please.

It was a nice and breezy night, we stopped at Spris on Lincoln Rd and grabbed some pizzas and a salad, we brought some white wine, it was just wonderful!

Lily was in love with her uncle Darren and made it through almost the entire movie. (she fell asleep at the end)

I wish you all a wonderful weekend.
