Must have of the day

Lily and I went to the park this afternoon as usual and to our surprise there was hardly anyone there! However, we were pleasantly surprised when Dylan showed up with his parents.

When Lily first met Dylan a couple of months ago, she planted a big kiss on him right away!

Well, today was no different (sorry Spike!). Lily could not stop giving beijinhos to Dylan. 🙂

Seeing Dylan at the park more often? It’s a “Must”! (Look at that BIG smile on Lily’s face on picture #3!)

Here are Lily and Dylan having a great time together. Lily wears a romper by Old Navy.

Things we LOVE!

The trees in our neighborhood filled with purple flowers!

Before it was trees with yellow flowers, and now there are different trees blooming. These have flowers with a yellow center and purple petals. (Some of my favorite colors, purple and yellow.) The petals look like they are made out of tissue paper. LOVE them!

Here is Lily checking them out when we went for a walk this morning before the beach. Lily wears a romper by Zutano and hat by Patagonia.

Must have of the day

More mornings at the beach like the one we had today with Claudia, Sofia, Zura and Lien. (Sherrie and McCoy you were missed)

All 3 girls had some diaper free bottom time, they were in the water (it was Lien’s first time, picture #2), they played (picture #4), they ate, they napped (Lien, picture #5), everyone got to get to know each other better (Zura and Lily, picture #6) and there was even time for some baby free mommy swimming time (Zura and Claudia, picture #7).

First official field trip

Today we went on a field trip to a wonderful organic farm right here in Miami called The Earth N Us.

Claudia and Sofia picked Lily and I up, and we met up at the farm with our new friends that we met at the library, Sherrie with McCoy and Zura with Lien.

The farm is hidden in Little Haiti and what a little gem it is!

We saw chickens, ducks, goats, pigs, ostriches. I think the chickens were Lily’s favorites.

There were beautiful flowers, fruit trees, trees in full bloom. It felt like we were elsewhere.

We were all having tons of fun and then out of nowhere, Lily started feeling not so well. She started vomiting non stop.

Instead of coming straight home, Claudia took us to Lily’s pediatrician first. Dr. Salinas checked Lily over and after making sure that she didn’t have a fever or anything too serious, we came back home.

I think Lily was vomiting as a side effect of the shots she had yesterday.

It was a tough afternoon for us. Lily continued on not feeling well and Will and I continued on worrying and wishing we were the ones not feeling well.

After Pedialyte and a bit of rice cereal that didn’t stay down, breast feeding went well and the milk didn’t come back up.

A much better Lily is now sleeping and hopefully she will feel all better tomorrow.

Here are some fun shots of our trip to the organic farm. Lily wears a romper by babyGap.

Early beach morning

This morning after Lily had her cereal, I decided to head off to the beach. It was 8:30a.m. when we left the house and our feet were on the sand by 9a.m.

It was a bit cloudy this morning which was perfect. Not too sunny, not too hot.

Our walk down Lincoln Rd was just lovely. Nice and quiet. The only noise was of birds chirping.

Once we reached the beach, I was so glad that we had taken off early and that we were there. There was hardly anyone around.

The tide was out and the ocean was perfectly still reminding me of this time last year when I was pregnant with Lily.

Darren, Will and I would meet up on Lincoln Rd on our bikes around 7:30a.m., ride to the beach and then Darren and I would go for a power walk along the water while Will would do some Thai Chi. We would then do some swimming around before heading back home and then off to work.

I can’t believe that I now have Lily here and I can do the same with her. 🙂

Lily and I played in the water for some time (she loves it), we sat on the sand and looked around for pretty shells.

Afterward, it was time to come back home, shower, eat and of course after all that….take a nap!

What a perfect way to start the day!

Here we are just this morning at the beach. Lily wears a hat by Patagonia that was a gift from avo Hayes and avo Joao and a romper by babyGap.

Things we LOVE!

Even though Lily can get around quite well with her slithering crawl, she is not fully pleased with that. She wants to walk!

She LOVES to be standing up and walking around. (My back doesn’t quite love it as much since I’m the one bending over to help her).

Here are Lily’s feet on some fun grounds lately. (We also LOVE her little feet, even when they are dirty. ;)) Lily wears a romper, a jumper and a dress all by babyGap.
