A baguette run

It was so beautiful out all day yesterday, we really spent most of the day out on our balcony with the exception of a long morning walk.

We walked to our favorite French bakery and picked up a fresh baguette to make lunch sandwiches with.

It was a nice and easy saturday, hope you all had a great day too!

Parabens Sebastiao!

Cousin Sebastiao turned 9 on friday and had his birthday party yesterday.

Lena (my cousin, his mom) did such a great job with all the drinks, cakes and games she had for the kids.

Lily had a wonderful time playing with cousin Sofia and watching all the older kids run around.

We couldn’t have asked for better weather.

It was a great saturday.

OH! And speaking of lil miss independent, Lily will most likely be walking soon. She is feeling quite confident these days. She got a lot of solo walking time between tia Tete and me at the party.

So many shells at the sea shore!

When we got to the beach early saturday morning, I couldn’t believe my eyes.

There were so many shells all along the shore!

That does not happen often enough around here.

While Will and Lily played in the water and on the sand, I took a walk along this great path of shells.

Picking shells at the beach has been a favorite of mine since being a child growing up in Portugal. It always brings back such wonderful memories.

As I walked along picking out great ocean treasures and as I listened to the sound of the waves rushing in and out of the shells, I was quickly reminded why I love the beach so much.

Miami Children’s Museum

On saturday we were invited to meet some friends at the Miami Children’s Museum.

It was our first time there and we had a blast!

There was so much to do. That place is HUGE!

We will definitely go back!

P.S.- I would also like to add that Lily looked exceptionally cute in her jumper that tio Ricky and Anabela sent her from Portugal and sandals that were a gift from aunt Desiree.

There’s something about Lily

On saturday on the way to the Miami Children’s Museum (pics of that tomorrow), while in the car, I gave Lily a honey wheat pretzel.

She loved the pretzel!

She loved it so much, I think she wanted to share it with her hair.

When I turned around to check on Lily, her hair that had once been slicked back into her headband, was sticking straight up.

I couldn’t help but think of Cameron Diaz in “There’s something about Mary” and LMAO!! 🙂

see the pretzel paste in her hair?

A saturday afternoon with daddy

Saturday afternoon while I went on a little shopping outing with a friend, Lily and Will had some daughter and daddy time to themselves.

Will took Lily to the park at South Point.

A great park that was renovated a while ago where you can catch some great sunsets as well as watch the ships go by.

They had a great time!

All photos by Will (aka Lily’s dad). Not only is he a great husband and father but he is also an awesome photographer. 😉

Lily and uncle Darren

Oh Lily and uncle Darren…..

These two had quite the little love fest this past weekend.

They had a great time at the beach on saturday.

And then yesterday, Lily snuggled up next to uncle Darren on the couch and fell asleep! (and continued on snuggling once she woke up.)

She has never even done that with either Will nor I.

We are all soooooo happy that Lily no longer starts crying at the very sight of her uncle Darren.

We knew this day would come. 🙂

Monday outdoors picture

Last week we had many mornings at the beach.

Thursday to sunday to be exact.

The water has been amazing!!!

It is the perfect temperature, the tide has been out every morning with a sand bar in the middle, it is as clear as it could be.

Here are some of my favorite outdoor moments at the beach from this past week.

Happy Labor Day everyone!!!!! Be safe.
