That’s how many pictures I had in my camera after we spent 3 hours at the beach yesterday.
Crazy?
Maybe a little but, it was one of the most perfect beach days we have had in a while.
The water was amazing, the tide was so far out that Lily was able to walk forever….
Hope you all had a great weekend!
(Photos by me, D and Will)
Yesterday we went over to our friends Marie and Sunday’s home to celebrate their son Ade’s seventh birthday.
On the way there, Will was in denial of how old Ade is already thinking that he was turning four.
Yeah, like three years ago!!
Ade’s birthday is a big bash every year and I’m happy to say that with the exception of one year, I have been there for every single celebration since he turned one.
It was wonderful to have spent the day with my Haitian family.
Happy birthday Ade, you rock star!!!
(P.S.- Even though I’m a day late, I’m linking to Mandy for Steppin Out)
Oh, and Happy July 4th everyone! 🙂 Have fun and be safe!
We had a pretty chill sunday yesterday.
We played, made breakfast, tried to re-arrange this place but it didn’t quite work out so I guess we are stuck with things the way they are. (a bit frustrating but oh well)
Here are some pics.
Hope you all had a great weekend!
Lily’s new wooden house from Ikea
When I woke up yesterday morning I had no idea that daylight savings had taken place.
Did that happen to any of you?
We had a great sunday.
Uncle Darren came over for lunch and a nap 😉 , we walked around Lincoln Rd and checked out the vintage market, checked out some art at the Lincoln Rd Gallery and some books at Books&Books.
Before we knew it, it was 7pm and we were still out and about!
How was your weekend?
I love sundays.
We lounged around the house in the morning and watched cartoons.
Will made us pancakes.
We video chatted with avo Carmo and avo Ricardo.
We went on a bike ride to the park and to SouthPointe.
Had lunch on the balcony.
Took a family nap.
Read books, played and watched the Grammy’s.
Sundays are my favorite! 🙂
P.S.- And can I just add that yesterday was absolutely gorgeous here in Miami? GORGEOUS!!
Yesterday was such a perfect sunday.
It was snowing again when we woke up.
We lounged around the house in the morning and made bloody marys.
We took Lily sledding once again.
I hope you all had a great weekend.
It was a good and mellow one here. (still trying to recover from our month in Portugal and our trip back)
Our weekend started friday with AMW’s 1st birthday party. We know AMW through the library.
Her party was at the beautiful Emanu-El Temple near our house.
There was arts and crafts, lots of toys and kids for Lily to play with and there was sing along also! (even though it was in Hebrew, that didn’t stop Lily from dancing!)
Both Lily and I had a great time.
On our ride home, we stopped off to look at my favorite Christmas tree.
I don’t really know why it’s my favorite tree.
There is nothing really special about it, really. It is mostly lights.
I think the reason I like it so much is because through the years that I was working, on the way home, I would ride past it and it would just give me a warm Christmas feeling.
It was the first real time that Lily saw a Christmas tree. (last year doesn’t really count since she was not even 2 months old)
She was fascinated by all the lights.
Saturday night we went out to dinner and stared at the beautiful full moon.
Did everyone have a chance to see her? She has been just amazing lately.
On sunday, while I did some things around the house, Will took Lily to the beach.
It had been a little over a month since she had been there and even though the water is definitely colder, you know her, she had to get in it.
She can now walk herself to the water. Watch out!!
Hope you all have a great week.
Happy monday!!! 🙂 (can’t believe Thanksgiving is this thursday)
getting crafty with it
We left Beja, Portugal on friday at 3am in order to be at the Lisboa airport by 5am and catch our flight at 7am.
We finally arrived home in Miami at 6pm. (11pm Portuguese time)
We were all exhausted!!!
After going to sleep very early on all 3 nights, we are all finally feeling pretty much back to normal.
This weekend was mostly for unwinding and catching up with good friends.
It’s funny because in a way, being surrounded by our friends and chilling out underneath the palm trees, it felt like we were never even really gone.
Here are some fun pictures from sunday.
