It is days like yesterday that make Will and I look at each other and say “I am so glad we decided to stay in Miami”.
We spent the morning at the beach and in the afternoon we went for a ride in the car to check out all the graffiti in Wynwood. (I have been wanting to go back and take pictures for a while)
We walked around, checked out some awesome graffiti, took pictures and found the Wynwood Kitchen and Bar where we decided to sit outside and have some dinner.
Let me stop for a second and tell you about the Wynwood Kitchen and Bar, I have never eaten at a place with SO much AMAZING art all around.
AMAZING! (and the food was pretty good too)
So, where else could we live where we could have the beach and awesome urban city life also?
Miami, we are so happy we stayed. 🙂
This post is picture heavy because not only was there amazing art everywhere but, I also want to show you “my” Miami.
Not the Miami The Real Housewives of Miami show you. 😉
Yesterday we spent the morning at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden with our friends Zura and Lien.
Despite all the mosquitoes that tried to eat all 4 of us up, there was still enough splendor for us to feast our eyes on and keep us there for a while.

How was your cinco de Mayo yesterday?
I don’t know why but I have celebrated and love celebrating this holiday for quite sometime.
We ate Mexican food for lunch and then later on went to El Rancho Grande to check out what was going on.
We ended up at Zeke’s with just regular $4.00 beer. 😉
It’s friday… have a great weekend everyone!
I’m a jeans girl.
Jeans and dresses really.
I like skirts (I have 2 to be exact) but, whenever I go to put them on, I always just put on a dress or pants/jeans instead.
I have stayed true to my jeans through all these years.
Going out with my girls who I used to work with, means “look your best”.
We all worked retail, we all have our own personal style and when it comes to dressing, my girls are NO joke!
Everything I wore out last night with the exception of the vest (1 year old), I have owned for many years.
Doesn’t it feel great when you can pull something together from things in your closet that you have had for years (and years and years)?
vest- UO (on sale for $9.99!)
Lily and I went to Ross yesterday.
I was hoping I would find some cute sandals for her since the other ones I got are still a bit big but, instead I walked out with 3 more Eric Carle books.
I looked in my closet and saw one of my Zara tops from last year that when I purchased it, I purchased it with the intentions of it being a “nicer” top.
Well, my social life is close to none these days (sad but true) and life is too short.
So, I wore it casually. 🙂

I’m loving this Anthropologie look:
We had a mellow but super fun weekend.
We went for walks, out to eat, took naps, slept in.
Lily has been using her little legs and arms a lot lately.
Standing up, sitting back down, wanting us to walk with her.
She also loves to wave her arms up and down to dance. This is something Will has been practicing with her in the mornings. 😉
Here are some of our fun moments caught on camera.
Today was Miss Claudia’s last day doing the readings at the library. (yes, another Claudia)
I know that all of us moms were a bit sad to see her go.
Miss Claudia is so animated and so good with all the little ones.
We hope the next person will be just as good.
Lily was miss social today. She was ALL over the place!
She was crawling over to all the babies, mommies, Miss Claudia and smiling up a storm. I think she is coming out of her shell. 😉

Lily and Miss Claudia
I usually don’t post on the weekends however, I’m so excited about these two new blogs that I have to “share” them with you.
Auntie K forwarded Megan Blandford’s blog Writing Out Loud to us because she knows how much Lily loves books.
I instantly became a fan of Megan‘s blog. Not only is she a great writer but she also has great suggestions for babies/kids books and suggestions about how to get your little ones into reading.
Then, Through her blog, I found Kids’ Book Review.
Kids’ Book Review is exactly what we have been needing!!
Lily LOVES books.
I don’t know about you but, I find it super hard trying to find the “good” books for Lily. It’s overwhelming with ALL the books that are out there!
Just the other day we bought 6 new books. Some were a success and some, not so much.
So, thank you auntie K! Now we have 2 great blogs to look to as solution to finding great books for Lily. 🙂
our little reader at the library. Lily wears a top and shorts by Old Navy.
Lily and I went to our local supermarket (Publix) this morning to pick up some items we needed in the house.
So, that’s where we had our “summer fashion” photo shoot. (yes, people were looking at me like I was weird)
Here is some supermarket fashion for you! 😉
