Lily swimming in the pool.
A hibiscus flower floating in the pool.
Lily wrapped in her towel.
Pink and blue, the two colors Lily can say and recognize.
Lily and I went to the beach yesterday morning. (surprise! 😉 )
It is getting to be quite the workout getting her there, specially pulling the stroller (with her in it) through the sand. (girlfriend will have to start walking soon but until then I will give her a ride)
With her being 25.5lbs, the stroller, her beach toys, a diaper bag filled with towels, water, diapers, lotion, snacks, by the time we reach our spot I’m out of breath. (I’m a bit out of shape)
So, yesterday I decided to not take any cameras to not add to the load.
But, I couldn’t help taking pictures with my phone which I hardly use other than to text. (it’s not a fancy iphone or anything like that)
I had no idea what the quality would be like.
They are not that great but I kind of like their vintage feel/look.
What do you think?
Also, I think I can speak for both Lily and I when I say that we both missed tia Sarah terribly.
And it’s friday!!
We have lots of house projects to do around here this weekend like go to storage and drop off winter clothes (don’t think we will need those for a while), re-pot some plants, clean…
Have a great weekend everyone!
Our friend Sara was kind enough to hand one of these down to us last night and we just LOVE it!!
It’s an Aden and Anais classic swaddle. It is 100% cotton muslin. The fabric’s light, open weave allows a baby’s body temperature to regulate itself naturally which helps to prevent overheating.
They make swaddles, blankets, sleeping bags, burpy bibs, towels and wash cloths all in super soft, dreamy prints.
So thank you Sara and Sam for sharing the goods and the knowledge!
Today was our first official beach day. Sure we have been to the beach for walks and to look at the ocean however, today we brought towels, the beach tent that was a gift from Katie and Jason, sunscreen (Lily wore BananaBoat Baby spf50), toys.
It’s winter here in Miami so the beach is windier and the ocean colder and rougher than usual but that didn’t keep us from having Lily dip her feet in the water.
She seemed to have enjoyed it. She should, I sure spent enough time at the beach and floating in the water when I was pregnant with her.
She looked around, slept in her tent, was breastfed. All without crying. She’s not much of a crier any way so I should say all without screaming.
We stayed for about an hour. All in all, I think we had a successful first day at the beach and hopefully many more to come!
Lily dipping her toes in the ocean for the first time. Her jumper is Patagonia.
