anyone else’s child obsessed with birthdays?
B.toys is celebrating their 1st birthday today.
I cannot believe they have only been around for a year because really, they are genius and have so many wonderful and creative toys for kids.
To help celebrate their 1st year, B.toys is giving away an exclusive B. onesie to the first 10,000 people who will LIKE them on Facebook.
It’s a no brainer really.
Just go LIKE them (because you should anyway) and then they will send you the cutest onesie.
Look how cute it looks on Lily.
If Lily is busy and quiet, most likely she is looking at her books.
Yes, she does play with some toys but nothing keeps her occupied like books do.
And you know what?
When she is occupied like that, I do not disturb her.
I don’t even look at her. (except when I sneak pictures)
What do your little ones occupy themselves with?
A couple of weeks ago Will and I cleaned out Lily’s toy basket.
It’s not a big toy basket however, there were toys in there that Lily no longer played with and we wanted to make room for some new items. (I was tempted to give all of her old toys away but we put them in storage instead.)
Not only did she receive some new things for her birthday and Christmas but, I’ve also purchased some goodies on super duper sale. 🙂
Here are some of her new things.
Lily and I just took it easy yesterday.
In the morning, instead of going to the park, we stayed home, watched YoGabbaGabba, read books and played with her toys.
She didn’t have much of an appetite all day.
I hate seeing her not eat.
The only thing she wanted was grapes.
Even though her temperature was back to normal (I took it every hour), she was still not 100%.
Later in the afternoon, again instead of going to the park, we went for a bike ride because I wanted her to get some fresh air.
I treated her to some vanilla ice cream.
I wanted her to eat something other than grapes!
She had some oatmeal for dinner and went to bed at her regular time.
She woke up several times during the night and her temperature was almost 100 again this morning.
We will see what today brings.
Maybe no library. 🙁
I wanted to upload these videos while we were in West Virginia but the internet was so slow there, I couldn’t.
Pictures are great but every once in a while it’s nice to have videos.
Specially for those far away family members who are keeping up with the blog.
Like avo Ricardo, tio Ricky and prima Ana. 😉
So, here is a video of Lily walking in the snow, Lily sledding, Lily with some of her favorite music toys in WV AND Will and Lily with Titus singing along to the harmonica (a favorite!).
Aside from having a wonderful library filled with all sorts of books, kids books included, this house also has awesome toys.
Hayes went into the attic the other day and found the coolest wooden toy I have ever seen!
It’s Noah, his arc and the animals.
They are all carved and painted by hand.
It’s seriously the coolest toy I have ever seen.
And then there are also the Crayon Kids.
They are 3 wooden dolls with velcro on clothes.
I used to love paper dolls when I was little but, these totally beat that.
They are awesome!
Lily is still too young to appreciate how wonderful these toys are but hopefully one day she will.
Bedtime with you at night has been so wonderful lately.
Already washed up and in your pajamas, you help clean up your toys while we sing “clean up, clean up, everybody everywhere…”
You have dinner.
You kiss pai goodnight.
We go into the bedroom and lie on our bed.
You lean against two big pillows, I lean against the other two big pillows next to you and we read two books.
After we read the books, we turn off the lights and go to the window where we say goodnight to the moon, the trees, the lights and mama.
When I say “goodnight mama”, you give me a kiss.
I then turn on your night music and we hug and slow dance for a bit.
You then point towards your crib and I lay you down.
I stay next to you for a bit until you fall asleep.
It has become so easy and wonderful.
It might change but I hope not.
You are so wonderful.
