Hello everyone! Hope you are all having a great weekend.
No, we weren’t raptured. I just didn’t know what to title this post and was inspired by Will’s shirt for The Rapture.
We had Lily’s 2nd birthday party yesterday and it was a success.
I have a lot of pictures to go through before I share them with you on here but, I wanted to participate in Mandy’s Steppin’ Out because it has been quite a while.
So, here is what we wore. Come back tomorrow to see pics of the party!
on Will: headband- made by me. The Rapture shirt- from a venue. jeans- UO. shoes- Steve Madden
on Lily: headband- made by me. dress- Old Navy. socks- C&A. boots- Kiabi
on me: headband- made by me. shirt and skirt- Anthropologie. belt- H&M. shoes- Aldo
Last friday I joined auntie K and some of her co-workers for happy hour at Doraku.
I decided to wear one of my favorite Zara pants.
I purchased them in 2009 when I was pregnant with Lily, wore them throughout my pregnancy and I still wear them all the time.
I read in either Elle or Bazaar that harem pants should be “stored away”.
You know what though?
I can’t store them away.
I love my harem military pants and no matter what fashion says, I will continue on wearing them.
Do you have items like that?
Items that you love so much that even though fashion says “store away” you can’t?
How was your cinco de Mayo yesterday?
I don’t know why but I have celebrated and love celebrating this holiday for quite sometime.
We ate Mexican food for lunch and then later on went to El Rancho Grande to check out what was going on.
We ended up at Zeke’s with just regular $4.00 beer. 😉
It’s friday… have a great weekend everyone!
Inspired by the beautiful flower prints they are showing for Spring/Summer this year, I decided to bust out an old little jacket of mine.
I purchased this jacket back in 2004, wore it to death until about 2006 and it had been sitting in my closet “resting” until last night.
I donate clothes a lot but, for some reason, I always hold onto my jackets.
Last night I had a mommy date with Claudia and Barbara.
We have known one another for almost a year, always do things together with Lily, Sofia and Dylan but had never done anything without the kiddos.
Claudia’s birthday is tomorrow so we decided to go out and have some dinner and drinks.
We had a lovely time. (so lovely there are no pictures because we were too busy talking and having fun!)
Happy saturday everyone!!
I’m a jeans girl.
Jeans and dresses really.
I like skirts (I have 2 to be exact) but, whenever I go to put them on, I always just put on a dress or pants/jeans instead.
I have stayed true to my jeans through all these years.
Going out with my girls who I used to work with, means “look your best”.
We all worked retail, we all have our own personal style and when it comes to dressing, my girls are NO joke!
Everything I wore out last night with the exception of the vest (1 year old), I have owned for many years.
Doesn’t it feel great when you can pull something together from things in your closet that you have had for years (and years and years)?
vest- UO (on sale for $9.99!)
What to wear?
What to wear?
What to wear?
I looked in my closet and there it was, my good old H&M dress that I bought in L.A. the last time I was there back in 2007. (I wore it on my first date with Will 🙂 )
Perfect!
knitted beret- Urban Outfitters
Ugh, back in Miami means goodbye to tights.
It means loose clothing (goodbye skinny pants) and time for me to wax my legs again so I can start wearing short dresses.
While in Raleigh I realized that I will have to get a bike with gears, a cruiser won’t make it over there.
That means goodbye Sally. 🙁
Here are Sally, Lily and I on our way out to run errands yesterday morning.
sunglasses- Marc Jacobs
shirt, pants and sandals- Zara (all from previous seasons)
bag- Urban Outfitters
Flying…. UGH, I HATE it!!
I must say that I have gotten a LOT better about it.
Can we talk about “plane” fashion?
I don’t understand those girls who wear super high heels and tight clothes when they fly.
I wish I could wear my pajamas and socks!
When I fly, I usually wear some kind of legging/jegging, a tank and a cardigan/loose shirt.
What do you like to wear when you fly?
Cardigan- Zara (when you pack light, you get to wear the same cardigan 4 days in a row)
shirt- French Connection
tank- Old Navy
Corduroy skinnies- Anthropologie
booties- French Connection
bag- Urban Outfitters
Yesterday was another day in the 60’s but, with a bit more rain.
I loved the Raleigh farmers market.
Will and I will definitely be shopping there when we move here.
It has EVERYTHING!!
I had one of the best home made lemon bars I have ever had (Hayes’s are better) and I had Cheerwine for the first time (yummy!).
