Will left early this morning to go to a family wedding in Kentucky.
Not only were tickets too expensive for all of us to go but, it’s kind of a child-free wedding so Lily and I stayed behind.
It’s all good except that we will miss Will like crazy.
Our afternoons have been spent at the pool.
At around 5pm when it doesn’t feel like you will melt just by being outside, we go swimming until about 6:30.
It seems like the perfect way to end the day.
Have a great weekend everyone!!
I hope you all had a great weekend.
It was a good and mellow one here. (still trying to recover from our month in Portugal and our trip back)
Our weekend started friday with AMW’s 1st birthday party. We know AMW through the library.
Her party was at the beautiful Emanu-El Temple near our house.
There was arts and crafts, lots of toys and kids for Lily to play with and there was sing along also! (even though it was in Hebrew, that didn’t stop Lily from dancing!)
Both Lily and I had a great time.
On our ride home, we stopped off to look at my favorite Christmas tree.
I don’t really know why it’s my favorite tree.
There is nothing really special about it, really. It is mostly lights.
I think the reason I like it so much is because through the years that I was working, on the way home, I would ride past it and it would just give me a warm Christmas feeling.
It was the first real time that Lily saw a Christmas tree. (last year doesn’t really count since she was not even 2 months old)
She was fascinated by all the lights.
Saturday night we went out to dinner and stared at the beautiful full moon.
Did everyone have a chance to see her? She has been just amazing lately.
On sunday, while I did some things around the house, Will took Lily to the beach.
It had been a little over a month since she had been there and even though the water is definitely colder, you know her, she had to get in it.
She can now walk herself to the water. Watch out!!
Hope you all have a great week.
Happy monday!!! 🙂 (can’t believe Thanksgiving is this thursday)
getting crafty with it
We left Beja, Portugal on friday at 3am in order to be at the Lisboa airport by 5am and catch our flight at 7am.
We finally arrived home in Miami at 6pm. (11pm Portuguese time)
We were all exhausted!!!
After going to sleep very early on all 3 nights, we are all finally feeling pretty much back to normal.
This weekend was mostly for unwinding and catching up with good friends.
It’s funny because in a way, being surrounded by our friends and chilling out underneath the palm trees, it felt like we were never even really gone.
Here are some fun pictures from sunday.

Oh Lily and uncle Darren…..
These two had quite the little love fest this past weekend.
They had a great time at the beach on saturday.
And then yesterday, Lily snuggled up next to uncle Darren on the couch and fell asleep! (and continued on snuggling once she woke up.)
She has never even done that with either Will nor I.
We are all soooooo happy that Lily no longer starts crying at the very sight of her uncle Darren.
We knew this day would come. 🙂

Yesterday Lily and I had a visit from aunt Min that spontaneously turned into a visit back at her house.
I love going to the Sanchez residence. It’s like Peewee’s Playhouse!
There are all sorts of fun stuff around.
Super cool furniture, mirrors, toys, art, chickens…
Aunt Min and uncle Oli made a great dinner and we all just hung out and caught up on life and Lily. 😉
It was a great day. (thanks Min, Oli and Lulu!)
This weekend we will start celebrating Will’s birthday which is on monday.
Have a great weekend everyone!!!!

Lily chasing Pelunia
Pelunia. she’s a polish chicken
We had a mellow but super fun weekend.
We went for walks, out to eat, took naps, slept in.
Lily has been using her little legs and arms a lot lately.
Standing up, sitting back down, wanting us to walk with her.
She also loves to wave her arms up and down to dance. This is something Will has been practicing with her in the mornings. 😉
Here are some of our fun moments caught on camera.
Going to brunch on sundays has become one of our favorite things to do as a family during the weekend.
We usually go to the beach early in the morning first and then to Front Porch, our usual beach breakfast spot however, this sunday since Lily had not been feeling great the last couple of days, we decided to skip the beach and try out a new breakfast spot.
We ended up in midtown at this place called S&S Diner. It was super small with a horse shoe shaped bar with stools and that was it!
The food, the people and the atmosphere were awesome!
The place has been there since 1938 and I think the waitresses too! 😉 They were old school!
The food was nothing fancy but really good and inexpensive.
Lily got to taste some yummy french toast and home fries. She loved it.
We had a great time.
